The Lynx are back and they’re taking on the Valkyries again. This is the second time these two teams meet this season after just playing a month ago. Both teams are on winning streaks, so let’s see who prevails.
Minnesota is 15-2 this season and first in the Western Conference as well as the league. They come into this game on a three-game winning streak and will look to make it four straight. The Lynx are 8-2 in their last 10 games and a perfect 9-0 at home this season.
Napheesa Collier had emerged as the leader for MVP this season but has faced a lower back injury. She is slated to play today after missing a few games last week. She is averaging 25 points and 8 rebounds per game so far. If she can stay healthy, she should win that MVP.
The team has a whole has played really well. Courtney Williams and Kayla McBride have both been playing their roles well. Alanna Smith stepped up when Collier was out and Natisha Hiedeman has played really well off the bench.
Big game for the Valkyries as could be a statement win

Lynx guard Karlie Samuelson takes on Valkyries guard Kate Martin as she drives to the net.
Well, if you haven’t been paying attention to Golden State, you really should. They’re 9-7 this season and 4th in the Western Conference. The Valkyries come into this game on a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 in their last 10 games.
This team struggles on the road a bit with a 2-4 record. Going into the Target Center isn’t going to be an easy task tonight. Just like the Lynx, the Valkyries are a really good defensive team. They rank 2nd in defensive rating just behind the Lynx.
Kayla Thornton leads Golden States offense. She’s averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds per game, leading the team in both categories. Tiffany Hayes has now started 7 games and has been contributing 13 points per game.
Otherwise, they get help from all around. Veronica Burton gives 10 points and 5 assists per game while Laeticia Amihere is grabbing 6 boards per game. I think the Valkyries are the sneakiest team in the league so don’t sleep on them. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Valkyries vs Lynx picks.

This should be a good game, but I think the Lynx take care of business. Losing that Commissioner’s Cup really has to sting and they came back roaring the next game. I think that momentum carries right along into this game.
In the first game these two played, the Lynx handled them without a problem. That was also on the road and this game will be in the Target Center where the Lynx love to play. All signs point to a Lynx win, and we should see a 10+ point win.
Napheesa Collier’s point line of 21 or more at -120 is beautiful. She is coming off a 28-point game and had 24 last game vs the Vals. Collier has hit this line in her last three out of four games as well. Should be a nice spot with a decent price.
I also like for Tiffany Hayes to get 11 or more points for -130. A little juicy, but she has been delivering. Hayes has hit the line in 5 straight games and came up just shy in the first matchup. Golden State will need her to get at least 15 for them to compete in this game.
