The league’s best team takes the floor tonight at home. The Minnesota Lynx will host the Los Angeles Sparks at the Target Center, but with a big question mark right now. Napheesa Collier is questionable to play tonight with a lower back injury. These 2 teams just met last weekend, and the Lynx won by 23.
Minnesota leads the league with an 11-1 record. They come into this game off a win over the Aces on Tuesday night. The Lynx are 9-1 in their last 10 games and are on a 2-game winning streak. Minnesota is also undefeated at home with a 6-0 record.
Star forward Napheesa Collier is fighting a lower back injury with a bad disc. Head Coach Cheryl Reeve told reporters that this is something she has been dealing with for some time, so there is a good chance she plays.
Collier was limited to only 18 minutes last game, so they relied on their bench who delivered. Natasha Hiedeman and Diamond Miller contributed with 12 points each off the bench. Starters Courtney Williams and Alanna Smith really picked up the slack with Williams putting up 20 points and Smith recording a double double.
Struggling Sparks look to end 2-game losing streak on the road

Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum looks to pass against Minnesota Lynx forward Jessica Shepard.
The Sparks are 4-9 this season and 6th in the Western Conference. They come into this game on a 2-game losing streak and are 3-7 in their last 10 games. Out of their 4 wins this year, 3 of them have come on the road, so that works in their favor.
Guard Kelsey Plum has made herself at home in LA in her 1st season there. She’s averaging 21 points and 5.6 assists per game so far as she leads this team. Dearica Hamby has also been producing nicely averaging 17 points and 8 rebounds per game.
This team has other role players in Azura Stevens and Rickea Jackson. Stevns has been really good down low and grabbing boards with an average of 9 per game. Jackson missed a few games this season but is still averaging 13 points per game.
Minnesota waxed them in the previous matchups this season. The only hope the Sparks have right now is if Collier doesn’t play. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Sparks vs Lynx picks.

Obviously, there is a huge question mark around this game, but I’m still taking the Lynx to cover those points. Minnesota has taken care of this team twice so far by more than 10 and I think they can do it again, even without Collier.
The depth of this Minnesota team will carry them. Their players are skilled and as we saw last game, share the ball well without Collier. Courney Williams will be looked upon to have another big game as well as Alanna Smith down low. If Kayla McBride comes to life, then they are even that much more dangerous.
LA has had trouble all year and it doesn’t stop here. They have won 75% of their games this year on the road, but they’re outmatched here. Minnesota ranks 2nd in both offensive and defensive rating this season while the Sparks are at the bottom.
If Collier plays, we’ll be taking her points at 22 or more for -120. It’s chalky as hell, but she doesn’t miss against the Sparks. We just need to watch her minutes because that will play a big factor if she is limited.
On the other side of things, I like Rickea Jackson for 15 or more points priced at -106. She has hit this in her last 3 games and has been heating up since her return. One of those games was the last weekend vs Minnesota and she had 18.
