With four games to go and a game and a half out of the last spot, every game is big for LA. The Sparks will take on the Atlanta Dream at Gateway Center Arena. This is the second game of a back-to-back between these two and the Dream just won by eleven points.
Atlanta is 27-14 this year and are currently sitting in the second seed. They come into this game on a three-game winning streak after Wednesday’s win over the Sparks. The Dream are 7-3 in their last ten games and 14-6 at home.
The entire Dream team came to play on Wednesday. Brionna Jones had a double double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Rhyne Howard the way with 19 points and had 5 rebounds as well. Atlanta had five players who scored double digits.
Allisha Gray missed last game with a knee injury, and she has already been ruled out of this game as well. Atlanta will need the same performance from their supporting cast to compete with the hungry Sparks team.

Los Angeles needs a big bounce back after Wednesday’s loss

Sparks forward Dearica Hamby goes up for a layup defended by Dream guard Rhyne Howard.
The Sparks are 19-21 this year and just a game and a half out of the last playoff spot. They come into this game off a tough loss to the Dream the other night. Los Angeles is 5-5 in their last ten games and are 11-9 on the roads this season.
Dearica Hamby had a big game last game and Kelsey Plum had 18 points, but the rest of the team was nowhere to be found. Azura Stevens had a weak game with only 5 points and 6 rebounds while Julie Allemand had 3 points on one of four shooting. Every shot was a three pointer too.
LA needs to play some better defense. They allowed 12 turnovers last game, and the Dream had 17 points off turnovers. Both teams turned the ball over the same amount, but the Dream made the most of those opportunities. Atlanta was in a little bit of foul trouble and Los Angeles only shot 65% from the free throw line.
This game should be closer than last. The Sparks did have a ten-point lead at one point in the last game, so they showed they can hang. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Sparks vs. Dream picks.

I’m running it back. I have faith in this Sparks team, and I really think they can win this game. The spread has shrunk by a point and half vs. last game, so it’s almost like the books expect a different result.
They’re going to be playing to win this game as they need it extremely bad, but I really think we see a close game, so I’m rolling with the points. The Sparks have been a decent road team this season despite losing their last three out of five road games.
I really like Dearica Hamby to record 26 or more points and rebounds combined for -102. Hamby had 30 the other night and it was her third straight game with 30+ PR. She has also cleared this line in her last two games vs. Atlanta. LA needs her if they have any chance winning this game.
The other play I like is for Rhyne Howard to record 3 or more three pointers for -175. I know it’s juicy, but some of these plays have been smacking for us. Her numbers are great in her last three games and has an 83% conversion rate vs. the Sparks. If you want more value, her 4+ is +148 and has a great chance of smacking as her volume is at least seven three pointers per game over her last five games.
