The Mystics are 16-23 this season and four games out of a playoff spot. This game it critical for them to stay in the race, but they come into this game on a five-game losing streak. Washington is 3-7 in their last ten games and 6-13 on the road.

Rookies have led this team this season with the emergence of Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron. Both ladies were drafted third and fourth in this year’s draft. Iriafen has averaged 13 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while Citron is averaging 15.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

The team lost who was pretty much their leader in Brittney Sykes. She was the most tenured body on this team and had a hot start to the season but was then dealt to the Storm. Her presence has definitely been felt a little bit.

Washington doesn’t protect the ball well and doesn’t rebound good at all. It makes their defense much weaker since they also don’t get the ball much, ranking in the bottom of the league for steals.

This has the potential to be a very good game. The question I’m not sure the answer to if we get a close matchup or a blowout. Golden State comes in off a big win to snap and losing streak and now back at home.

I like for the Valkyries to take care of business tonight and cover the spread. They play well at home, and they were just on a four-game winning streak before they lost three in a row. Golden State needs this game to really almost cement their place in the eighth seed.

Give me Sonia Citron to get 15 or more points for -120. She’s cleared it in two of her three games vs. the Valkyries and is coming off an 18-point game. Citron is going to have to have a good shooting game for the Mystics to have a chance.

Another play I like is Veronica Burton to get 2 or more three pointers for -118. She has hit this in her last four games vs. the Mystics, which includes all three games this year. Burton is currently hitting 70% over her last ten games.
