We have a battle between the league’s best tonight. The Minnesota Lynx will take on the red-hot Las Vegas Aces. These two teams last met a month ago and the Lynx beat down on the Aces, winning 53 points!
Minnesota is 32-8 this season and the best team in the league. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after a win over the Wings. The Lynx are 7-3 in their last ten games and 13-6 on the road this season.
Napheesa Collier is having an MVP-type season this year. She is averaging 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in 30 games this season. Collier missing 10 games due to a back injury that will hopefully stay away for the playoffs.
The Lynx play a solid all-around game. They rank first in the league for both offensive and defensive ratings. Minnesota scores the most points per game and has the best shooting percentage in the league. They’re also second in steals and second best in turnovers.

Aces will look to make it thirteen in a row tonight at home

Las Vegas Aces guard Jackie Young tries to drive the ball to the hoop while defended by Lynx forward Napheesa Collier.
Las Vegas is 26-14 and third best in the league after a very slow start. They come into this game on a more than impressive twelve game winning streak. The Aces are 10-0 in their last ten games and are 14-5 at home this season.
After the last game vs. the Lynx, you’d like to think the Aces remember losing by 50+ points and that couldn’t have sat well. A’ja Wilson has been playing at an MVP level over the last few weeks and is right on Collier’s tail for MVP.
Wilson is averaging 23.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game this season, ranking second in the league for both categories. Wilson’s teammates have stepped up to the plate as well. Jackie Young is coming off a triple double and Chelsea Gray has finally started to distribute the ball.
The Aces need to play solid defense tonight. It is their weak point this season, ranking eighth in defensive rating, rebounds and steals. They protect the ball well, being the third best in turnovers per game.
Seeding is extremely tight from second to fifth, so they’ll want to keep winning or they could become sixth in the blink of an eye. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Lynx vs. Aces picks.

This should be a really good game. The Aces should have a chip on their shoulders from last month and the Lynx will want this game to prove a point. I see an extremely close game this time, so I’m taking the points with the Aces.
Las Vegas has been a solid home team this year. This win streak has to have them on another level right now as a squad. Mix that with the home crowd and desire for revenge and I think they have a chance to even win this game. A win would put them back in second place in the league.
To start, give me Napheesa Collier to record 8 or more rebounds for -130. She has hit in her last three out of four games, coming off a miss. The Aces are not very good at rebounding and Collier will be their main player down low. She did only have three vs. the Aces last month, but I think we see her back to regular numbers.
I love A’ja tonight. This is a prime spot for her to go off and show the league she’s still the best in the league. Her points line is 23 for -130 and she’s cleared it in three of her last five games and five out of her last seven games. All five games she put up 30+ points, so a ladder is definitely an option.
