Well game one didn’t go the way this guy thought it was going to…sheesh! The Indiana Fever muscled their way to a 16-point victory over the Las Vegas Aces in their house. The Fever now lead the series 1-0 going into tonight.
Indiana outscored Las Vegas in every quarter of the game. The third quarter is where the Aces let the game slip away, losing by 9 points. Kelsey Mitchell went off for 34 points, highest scorer of the night.
Natasha Howard showed up with a 12-point, 11 rebound double double. Aliyah Boston was out there doing a little bit of everything with 6 points, 11 boards and 5 assists. The last player worth mentioning is Odyssey Sims who had 17 points.
It was a group effort to get that win and they’ll need to do it again. The Fever have really shown some grit with first knocking off the Dream and now stealing a road game in Las Vegas. If they keep this up, they could sneak into the finals!

Las Vegas blindsided after A’ja MVP day and give up big loss

Aces center A’ja Wilson looks to drive passed the Fever defender down low.
The Aces went into game one riding the high of A’ja Wilson just being named MVP and I guess it clouded their brains. They played from behind the entire game and looked terrible coming out of the second half.
Wilson put up 16 points and had 13 rebounds while Jackie Young 19 points and 7 rebounds. Las Vegas shot 41% from the field and 29% from three-point range and just couldn’t keep up. They realized real quick this Fever team isn’t messing around.
It was surprising to see the Aces struggle. Some would say the refs weren’t on the top of their game and some would say that was an understatement. Regardless which way you lean on that, the Fever still pulled out the win.
This was only the Aces second loss in twenty games which is fine too. Some may have expected the Aces to sweep, but the Fever have other plans. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Fever vs. Aces picks.

I can’t go against the Fever on the spread after what we saw in game one. They are seriously hungry and happy to be the underdogs. I’m not sure if they pull out the W, but I definitely think we get a close game here.
The books are still giving the favorites big spreads, but I think all four teams left can hang. I do think the Aces come back and win this game, but I think it’ll be close. Nine points is a lot in the playoffs, and I think the Fever can take advantage of it.
I like for Jacke Young to hit her points line of 17 or more for even money. Girl has been playing unreal and hit this line last game plus her last four out of five games. Young is such a key part of this team, and they need her to keep performing to have a chance.
The other play is going to be Aliyah Boston for 9 or more rebounds for -132. She hit this last game and played from all angles of the court. I think we see her with a big game on the glass and should clear this for us.
