The best team in the league takes the court tonight and I’m here for it. The Atlanta Dream will visit the Target Center to take on the Minnesota Lynx. These guys met a month ago and the Lynx squeezed out a four-point win.
Minnesota is 22-4 this season and lead the league, not just the Western Conference. They come into this game on a four-game winning streak after beating down on the Aces on Friday. The Lynx are 8-2 in their last ten games and are still undefeated at home with a 14-0 record.
Napheesa Collier continues to kill it this season. Fresh off being an All-Star captain and winning the game MVP, she had 25 points and 9 rebounds Friday night. The Lynx took out the Aces, who as of late, aren’t the greatest team, but shouldn’t be taken lightly. Collier continues to make her season MVP bid as we go on.
The main reason this team is so successful is because of their depth. They’re a talented team and can rely on their bench, which equals wins. Courtney Williams and Kayla McBride lead behind Collier as major contributors to this team. Alanna Smith and Bridget Carleton are also contributing as starters for the team.

Atlanta looks to be a top team in the East and make a playoff run

Dream guard Jordin Canada makes a move to the basket in the offensive zone.
The Dream are 14-10 and currently second in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game off a win over the Mercury on Wednesday. Atlanta is 4-6 in their last ten games and 6-7 on the road this season. Decent road team, but this will be a different atmosphere.
Guard Rhyne Howard is currently out with a left leg injury. She will miss her fifth straight game. The team will continue to rely on guard Allisha Gray to lead this team. Gray is averaging 16 points and 6 rebounds per game, leading the team in scoring.
This team can be very mediocre but then go out and beat a team like Phoenix. On paper, they rank third in the league for offensive rating and are the best rebounding ream in the league. Their offense can be very hit or miss though, where they shoot terribly.
Defensively, they rank fifth in defensive rating and are great rebounders as I mentioned. They protect the ball very well, ranking second best in the league for turnovers per game. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Dream vs. Lynx picks.

As much of a good matchup as last game was, I think we see the table turn here. Minnesota is so dominant at home that winning this game isn’t in question. Covering is the question, and I think they do at home.
The Lynx play smart basketball and are strong on both ends of the court. Their defense can be lock down and Atlanta missing one of their leading scorers doesn’t help them as well. There will be a large load on Gray, who needs to have a good shooting day and she can be very hit or miss.
Expect Courtney Williams and Kayla McBride to be heavily involved. I like McBride to record 14 or more points for even money. She’s coming off a miss by one point but hit in her previous four games. McBride has also cleared the line in her last three games vs. the Dream, so the data is there.
The other play I like is Napheesa Collier to record 8 or more rebounds for -138. A little juicy, but she has a great history, hitting in five out of her last six games vs Atlanta. Her last game she had seven, so she was right there. Collier is also coming off three straight games of clearing this line.
