After a big loss in game 1, the Indiana Fever take it back home for game 2 vs. the Atlanta Dream. The Dream won the game by 12 points to take a 1-0 series lead. This is only a three-game series, so Indy needs to find a way to win tonight.
Atlanta went 30-14 during the regular season and were the top team in the Eastern Conference. They handled business last game and in easy fashion. The Dream were 14-8 on the road this season, so they could get the job done tonight.
As expected, Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray both led the way for this team with 20 points apiece. Both ladies also grabbed 6 rebounds each as well. Brionna Jones had 12 points and 5 rebounds while Naz Hillmon keeps having a huge impact with 16 points and 9 rebounds.
This is a must win for the Dream in my opinion. Win today and move on, no need for a third game. The winner of this series will also play the winner of the Aces vs. Storm series, which could also end tonight with an Aces win.

Indiana looks for a way to pull out a win or their season is over

Fever center Aliyah Boston tries to gain possession of the ball against Dream center Brittney Griner.
The Fever finished the season 24-20 and secured the sixth seed in the playoffs. They didn’t look the greatest in game one vs. the Dream. Indiana was 13-9 at home this season and will be looking to defend home court.
Indy is still obviously hurting without Caitlin Clark. They still managed to finish the season strong and get into the playoffs, but now it’s go time and I don’t know if they have it. Role players are really going to need to step up to hold off Atlanta.
Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell will need to bring the heat again. Boston had 8 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists in game one – major contributor. Mitchell balled out with 27 points, but the lack of offense out of Natasha Howard and Lexie Hull hurt them.
Without Clark, they really need a team effort here. Slowing down Howard and Gray from behind the arch is a good start at it. Odyssey Sims, newcomer, had 10 points, so any more she can give in a starting role would be huge. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Dream vs. Fever picks.

Good night, Indiana, it was a good year without your star. I think it’s all the Dream tonight. They won their last six games coming into the playoffs and are now at seven games. This team is on a mission and a game away from the next round.
The Fever went ahead and tried to make a championship team but fell apart during the season. DeWanna Bonner didn’t work out at all, Sophie Cunningham is hurt when they need her most (right now) and Natasha Howard is the only one working out. These ladies are simply out matched, and 4 points is a nice number to cover.
Give me Rhyne Howard to get 3 or more three pointers for -146. She’s coming off a game hitting four and has hit in two straight and six out of her last seven. If there’s one thing for certain with Howard is the volume will absolutely be there.
I also like Kelsey Mitchell for 20 or more points for -128. She is coming off a huge game and is the main point player for the team. Mitchell brings veteran experience as well, so she’s a great leader who’s comfortable leading at the point. Without Clark, it all starts with Mithell.
