We had a molly whopping in game 2 by the Aces with a final score of 90-68. You could tell they had that fire in their eye after that game 1 loss, but some would say differently. There were some questionable calls made by the refs, but 22 points is more than bad reffing.
Las Vegas looked back to their regular form. They knew they couldn’t drop another game at home because Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be rocking. It was a heck of a performance from all the ladies as well.
A’ja Wilson led the way with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Nalyssa Smith came in huge game of 18 points and 7 rebounds. Chelsea Gray got back to her old ways and dished 10 dimes while Jackie Young had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Aces shot over 50% from the field and over 40% from three. Their defense looked good with 12 steals, and they turned the ball over seven less times than the Fever. Las Vegas had 10 more points off turnovers as well.

Indiana will look to take a 2-1 series lead at home

Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell goes for a layup with Aces guard Jackie Young right behind her.
Indiana looked lost last game. They were outscored in every quarter and couldn’t even break 20 points in a quarter. This was not the same team that came out in game 1, but they also were getting a lot of questionable calls.
It seems the Fever were not happy with the number of fouls being called, especially for A’ja Wilson. There were definitely some questionable calls, but like I said before – the bad calls don’t answer for a 22-point loss.
Aliyah Boston had a decent game with a 10-point, 13 rebound double double. Kelsey Mitchell only had 13 points and this team needs more than 23 combined points out of them. A few bright spots were Lexie Hull hit five three pointers and Odyssey Sims had 18 points.
I think the home court may change the Fever a little. They tend to play better at home even though their 13-9 home record isn’t the greatest. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Aces vs. Fever picks.

Much shorter spread this game due to home court for the Fever. I think we see a gritty game out of them, but the calls need to stop. This should be a hard fought, close matchup and Indiana should cover the spread.
This is now a three-game series and Indiana has the advantage. I lean for them to win this game and then the Aces the next two, but we’re definitely taking the points. Caitlin Clark has seemed to turn into somewhat of a coach, so something tells me she’s watched a lot of tape from game 2.
We’re going back to Jackie Young for 17 or more points for -125. She missed last game, but I think we see points again in this game. Young had hit in her previous four out of five games and leads the back court with Chelsea Gray.
Another play I like is Jewell Loyd to get 2 or more three pointers for -120. Shooter gon’ shoot and that’s what we have here. Loyd hit the line last game going two of three from three. I like for her to be heavily involved again and her shots will be from three.
