The Valkyries are 12-13 this season and 5th in the Western Conference. They come into this game off a buzzer beater vs. the Dream on Tuesday. Golden State is 4-6 in their last ten games and 4-9 on the road so far this year.

Golden State just suffered a big loss with the injury to Kayla Thornton that has her out for the rest of the season. She had emerged as the front runner for leader and face of this team. Despite not having her the other night, they got the job done vs. Atlanta.

Players like Veronica Burton, Tiffany Hayes and Janelle Salaun will be heavily relied on now. Each of these players, as well as the rest of the team, are still in their first year playing together, so this is a tough spot. Golden State has surprised us to this point, so I wouldn’t count them out just yet.

This is such a short line that we’re going to jump on it now. Washington looked great last game, with contributions from all around. Iriafen had 22 points and 10 boards while Citron had 28 points herself.

I think the Mystics a bit more chemistry and talent than the Valkyries. The chemistry part is the biggest key here with Golden State losing Thornton for the year. For only three points, I think the Mystics get the job done here.

Brittney Sykes had a hot start to this season and was averaging 20 points per game. She put up 30 in their first meeting back in May and with a line that’s only 13.5 for -115, we’re taking it. Sykes is coming off an 18-point game and I think she carries that momentum right into this game.

The other play I like is Sonia Citron to hit 2 or more three pointers for +102. She’s coming off hitting 5 threes last game and hit in her game back in May. Citron has struggled a bit from three, but I think she’s about to hit a hot streak after that almost 30 point game.
