We have a lopsided matchup on our hands tonight. The Seattle Storm will host the Connecticut Sun at the Climate Pledge Arena. The Sun just beat the Storm by 10 points Wednesday night in a shocker.
Seattle is 12-8 this season and third in the Western Conference. They come into this game off this loss to the Sun in a game they probably should’ve won. The Storm are 6-4 in their last 10 games and 6-3 at home this season.
The Storm had no answer for the Sun’s Tina Charles on Wednesday. Charles had a game high 29 points and 11 rebounds. A bit of a breakout game for her as these aren’t her normal numbers, so we’ll see if she can do it again. Seattle did put up 83 points of their own, so defense will be key tonight.
Sky Diggins led the way for the Storm last game and has been all season. Gabby Williams looked great as well. Both ladies were just chosen to this year’s All-Star teams and are very well deserved. Let’s see the kind of bounce back they have in them tonight.

Sun will try and take both games from the Storm

Connecticut Sun center Tina Charles and guard Marina Mabrey talked before a foul shot.
The Sun got their third win of the season last game and in surprising fashion. They’re coming off that win and need to carry that momentum. Connecticut is 1-9 in their last 10 games and also on the road this season.
This team ranks in the bottom of the league in most statistical categories. As much as I say they looked great last game, we have to come back down to earth. Seattle is a much better team than Connecticut up and down, so they’re in trouble again.
Coming off a big win, you sometimes hit that letdown spot, taking an L after a big win. Could very well be the case in tonight’s game as Seattle should really want to get that last game back. It was borderline embarrassing the way they played at the end of that game.
Did Connecticut get lucky and did Seattle sh*t the bed or did the Sun really come to play? And can they do it again? Let’s check out the odds and get into the Sun vs. Storm picks.

As much of a fan of a bounce-back spot I am, this is also a big letdown spot for the other team, so perfect formula. Now, that’s in regard to who wins, but we’re here for more than that. This is a huge spread, and I think it’s big enough that the Sun cover it.
I think we see another big game from Tina Charles for some reason. It was her first 25+ point game in six games and her first double-digit rebound performance since the first game of the season. Even with the good games that Ezi Magbegor and Nneka Ogwumike had, Charles ate and she’s going to do it again. I like her PR (points and rebounds combined) at 19 or more for -114.
Seattle needs to play better defense. All of their starters had solid performances, which really puts the spotlight on the defense. If they can replicate their offensive performance and add some defense, they’ll easily win this game, as they should.
I like for Sky Diggins to get her points again. Set at 18 or more points for -106 is some great value after her last game. She finally hit her line last game and her last three games vs. the Sun. If you want, you can take her PA (points and assists) for 24 or more at even money. Both are solid plays.
