That is because wins against the WNBA’s better teams have been few and far between this season. Entering today, the Aces just 2-6 this season against the four teams currently ahead of them in the WNBA standings. Even with Breanna Stewart sidelined, a win in the latest installment of the Liberty vs. Aces rivalry would be an achievement.
New York is 2-0 against Las Vegas this season, winning 92-78 at Barclays Center on May 17 and 87-78 at the same venue on July 8.
