The 2023 Women’s World Cup has reached it’s final eight teams.
The Quarterfinals are upon us and the first match kicks off Thursday evening with Spain taking on the Netherlands.
The Dutch have yet to lose this tournament, while Spain lost one game to Japan in the Group Stage.
Let’s breakdown tomorrow night’s contest!
Spain vs Netherlands Game Information

These are two of the top teams in the world. Spain ranks 6th, while the Netherlands rank 9th.
The winner of this game faces the winner of Japan/Sweden in the Semifinals, and Vegas seems to think Spain has this all but wrapped up.

Spain vs Netherlands Best Bets

After winning two games in Group Stage, Spain let Japan walk all over them in the deciding match. Spain got skunked 4-0 but the Japanese, and finished 2nd in the group.
They bounced back and came alive against Switzerland in the Round of 16, beating them 5-1.
The Netherlands played in a tough group against the USWNT, but they came out on top. After beating Portugal, the Netherlands played the United States to a 1-1 draw and picked up a point.
The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup Runner Ups went to to smash Vietnam and win the group. In the Round of 16, the Dutch handled business against South Africa, winning 2-0.
The Dutch have allowed just 1 goal all tournament, while scoring 11.
The Pick: The Netherlands to Advance (+175) BetOnline
Spain is explosive on offense, but I like the Dutch backline to remain sound throughout this game. I think the Dutch can find ways to take advantage of the Spanish attack, and counter to create some chances.
Japan is ranked 11th in the World, so this will statistically be Spain’s toughest opponent thus far, whereas the Netherlands drew with the number 1 team in the world.
At nearly +200, backing the Netherlands to advance in any way shape or form is a no brainer for me. The line seems too good to be true, but I don’t think Spain is worthy of being -110 on the ML.
Tomorrow night I’ll be backing the Dutch to conquer the Spaniards and advance to their 2nd straight Women’s World Cup Semifinals.
Bonus Bet: Netherlands Draw No Bet (+210)
This bet only lasts 90 minutes, so we’re betting on them to finish Spain before the whistle, but we push if it goes to extra time.
