The UEFA Champions League is back as the Quarterfinals get started today with the 1st leg of action! We are down to our final 8 teams, and all of them play in the next two days.

UEFA Champions League Match Day
Arsenal vs Bayern Munich
Arsenal hosts the German giant, Bayern Munich today at Emirates Stadium, and this will be a hell of a game. The Gunners have shutout their last 4 opponents, one of whom is Manchester City. Arsenal has won 6 of their L7 games, and is unbeaten since their loss to FC Porto in the 1st leg of the UCL Round of 16.
Point being, Arsenal has been in great form, and their defense looks solid, which will certainly come into play against the Munich attack. Arsenal is currently tied with Liverpool at 71 points in the EPL, and are one point ahead of Manchester City. With seven games remaining in the EPL, I worry Arsenal might be focused elsewhere, and because of this make some mistakes in their game today.
Bayern could certainly take advantage, especially considering the Gunners did not look too good in either game against Porto.
Now, Munich hasn’t looked incredible in their last few games either. Most recently, Bayern has lost 2 straight games, and is not in the running for a Bundesliga Title. Ultimately, I think 100% of their focus is on this game today.
I actually have two picks in this match today, one serious and one more of a long shot.
The Pick: Arsenal/Bayern Under 3 (-150) Bovada
This one is juicy, but I really think we see a defensive game. I think the Gunners are distracted, and Munich is not, but with this game being in England, I see Bayern playing conservative and winning this matchup next week at home.
Give me Under 3 for a little juice.
Bonus Bet: Bayern Munch Draw No Bet (+265) Bovada
Just a small sprinkle here, I think Munich is simply the better team in a better spot.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Man City is in Spain to take on a red hot Real Madrid squad. Real Madrid has not lost a game since January 18th, and they have not been beaten at home once this season.
You read that correctly, Madrid is completely unbeaten at home this soccer season. They are 8 points ahead of Barcelona in the La Liga standings, and facing last year’s champions at home, I think we see Madrid really come to play.
Manchester City will definitely be Madrid’s toughest opponent this season, but playing this 1st leg in Spain gives them a slight advantage in my mind. I think Madrid comes out with plenty of firepower, with the hopes of leading on aggregate after this 90 minutes, to create a bit of a cushion for when they play in England.
It is very tough for me to bet against a team with such a dominant presence at home, so I’ll be a little soft and take their Draw No Bet line.
