The UEFA Champions League is set to go again soon, with matches beginning on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Last year brought us a brand new format with an expanded competition, resulting in a phenomenal tournament all year long. Of course, it ended with French side, Paris Saint-Germain taking down Inter Milan in the UCL Final last season. Will they repeat this season? Or can someone else claim the crown? Let’s dive in to our UCL preview full of the betting odds for this tournament, the best matches on the schedule and more!
Be sure to check out the early odds listed for the match at the best online sportsbooks.
UEFA Champions League History

Khvicha Kvartskhelia and PSG lifted the UCL for the first time ever last season
Past 10 UCL Champions
- 2025: Paris Saint-Germain
- 2024: Real Madrid
- 2023: Manchester City
- 2022: Real Madrid
- 2021: Chelsea
- 2020: Bayern Munich
- 2019: Liverpool
- 2018: Real Madrid
- 2017: Real Madrid
- 2016: Real Madrid
Spain and England have dominated the last decade in the UCL, winning eight of the last 10 titles. However, Paris Saint-Germain was the first French side to lift the trophy since Marseille did it in 1993, and were just the second ever French side to do so. Italy’s UCL drought remains even though Inter Milan have made the final both last season and in 2023. They were the last Italian side to claim the title, beating Bayern Munich 2-0 back in 2010.
We haven’t seen a team from the top five leagues in the UCL Final for quite some time, but the last club from a “non big five league” to play in the title was Porto of Portugal in 2004, when they beat Monaco 3-0.

Can Real Madrid get back on top of the UEFA Champions League?
Most UCL Titles by Club
- Real Madrid: 15
- AC Milan: 7
- Bayern Munich: 6
- Liverpool: 6
- Barcelona: 5
- Ajax (Netherlands): 4
- Inter Milan: 3
- Manchester United: 3
- Juventus: 2
- Benfica: 2
- Chelsea: 2
- Nottingham Forest: 2
- Porto (Portugal): 2
Several other clubs have one UCL title, highlighted by Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and most recently, PSG. Two teams have won multiple titles without losing in the final (Nottingham Forest and Porto), while there is a laundry list of clubs who have appeared in, but have not won the UEFA Champions League. Members of this list with multiple losses include Reims and Valencia with two losses, and Atletico Madrid who has appeared in three UCL Finals but has yet to lift the trophy.
Along with the top five countries, the Netherlands and Portugal have multiple winners, both with more than France, while Romania, Scotland and Yugoslavia have also had a club bring the UCL trophy home. Belgium, Greece and Sweden have all had a team appear in the UCL Final, but none were successful in claiming the crown.
Alright, enough history. Let’s get into why you’re here.
We have to look at the betting odds, looking at the overall numbers to win the entire tournament. BetOnline offers a couple of interesting markets as well, so we will check them all out.

As always, we have some familiar names towards the top of this list. PSG is not the betting favorite (currently) to repeat as champions, but they are still the only French squad listed at less than 100-1. That shows you the competition in Ligue 1 (or lack thereof). Bayern Munich stands atop the rest of the German squads, while England and Spain are very well represented amongst this list.
Which brings us to our next market…

Barcelona have not win the UCL since 2015
Nationality of Winning UCL Team Odds
- England +100
- Spain +225
- France +550
- Italy +700

Obviously, those are the top five. As discussed, some other countries have claimed the title, but it’s been a while. After that here are the rest of the odds.
- Any Other Nation 66-1
- Portugal 70-1
- Netherlands 80-1
- Belgium 150-1
- Turkey 150-1
For reference, the first clubs from any of these nations listed with longer odds is PSV of the Netherlands, Sporting CP of Portugal and Galatasary from Turkey, who are currently No. 23 on the betting board, priced at 150-1.
Lastly, we have to look at the top goalscorer prop.

Will Erling Haaland lead Manchester City back to the UCL Title?

- Ousmane Dembele (PSG) +1400
- Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal) +1400
- Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool) +1600
- Raphinha (Barcelona) +1600
Those are the top 10, but could there be anyone further down that makes some noise in this tournament?
- Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) +2000
- Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) +2500
- Cole Pamer (Chelsea) +2500
- Joao Pedro (Chelsea) +2500
- Nicholas Jackson (Bayern Munich) +2500
- Lautoro Martinez (Inter Milan) +3300
- Omar Marmoush (Manchester City) +3300
Several other players are on the list as you go down, with the next set listed at +4000 headlined by Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid), Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) and Vini Jr. (Real Madrid).

Viktor Gyokeres and Arsenal are seeking to win their first ever Champions League Title
