Things looked even more grim after an early red card led to a 1-0 deficit against France in the quarterfinals.
With just 10 women on the field, Germany rallied for a goal to force extra time, eventually winning on PKs. However, they will be without CB Kathrin Hendrich tonight, hurting a defense that is already going to be tested.
Spain has won four straight matches in this tournament, and while they haven’t played the best competition, they are still ready to roll. The Spanish have yet to play a top-10 team in the world, and now play No. 3, but I think they have the power to get past the defending runner-ups.

This match is very lopsided for a reason. Spain simply is that good. I wouldn’t be doing my due diligence if I failed to tell you that the value more than likely lies with Germany. These are the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the world rankings, and backing the underdogs on the double chance line at (+167) is probably the way to go in this contest.
However, I have little faith in Germany and have been very impressed by the Spanish.

Spain have won four matches in this tournament, but they haven’t just been winning. They have been absolutely dominating. Spain have outscored opponents 16-3 in their four matches, along with retaining 70% of possession in every contest. They did not allow the Swiss to have a single shot on target in their quarterfinal, and they’ve only allowed six all competition.
Now, defensively, Germany needs to brace for impact. They are already missing a stud CB, and they know how good the Spanish attack can be. There will be no time to create offensive chances, something they struggle to do already. Germany produced just two shots on target against France, and I think they spend too much time defending today to produce anything worthwhile on offense.
Give me Spain in a shutout (+185) after a low scoring first half.
