The NWSL is the highest women’s soccer league in North America, and there’s two matches on the slate tonight. Let’s find our best bets.

National Women’s Soccer League: Friday’s Predictions
Utah Royals vs. Orlando Pride Best Bets
Barbra Banda leads the Pride with four goals this season
Best Bet: Orlando Pride -1 (+100) Bovada
Back the Pride on the road tonight. We’ve got push potential and plus money for one of the best teams in the league, taking on one of the worst. In just nine matches this season, the Pride have netted 15 goals while only allowing seven. They have played almost exclusively top tier teams in the NWSL, but they did dismantle the Chicago Red Stars 6-0, who are on the bottom of the table.
Right next to Chicago is the Utah Royals, who have been allowing two goals per match in their last four, and have only netted seven all year long. The Pride shutout Utah twice last season, including a 6-0 beating the last time they met. Things aren’t different this year, as Orlando is competing for the top of the table, while Utah is still trying to get back on their feet since rejoining the league.
Back the Pride to win in dominant fashion tonight.
Prediction: Orlando Wins 3-0 (+900)
Seattle Reign vs Washington Spirit Best Bets
Seattle has one of the best back lines in the NWSL
Best Bets: Seattle Reign Draw No Bet (+105) Bovada
The Reign are incredibly good at home. The Spirit are a great ball club as well, and will certainly be met with plenty of respect as they head to Seattle this evening. Historically, Seattle is very, very good at home. But the last time out they were upset by the Houston Dash (who aren’t very good this season). Prior to that, the Reign took down the Kansas City Current (1st on the table), and the Portland Thorns (4th) who are both formidable opponents.
The Washington Spirit are a team that plays extremely aggressive, and is involved in plenty of overs. However, Seattle is built on defense, they know how the Spirit like to play, plus Washington is still missing USWNT forward Trinity Rodman, who hasn’t played since April 12th. I trust the hosts to control this game, keep it low scoring, but find a way to earn three points at home.
For plus money and push potential, I’ll back the Reign at home, but I’ll also be on the Under 2.25 (-111). The Reign will be very defensive minded, and six straight matches have stayed under this. Give me Seattle in a low scoring match tonight.
Prediction: Seattle Wins 1-0 (+650)
