We’re hunting some plus money today on the MLS pitch, like we normally do.
Here’s what I’ve got today.

FC Cincinnati vs Columbus Crew Best Bets
FC Cincinnati are in 2nd place of the MLS Eastern Conference Standings

Best Bets: Under 2.5 (+112) Bovada
For plus money, I’m backing both of the defenses tonight. Now, these squads have played 5 times, with 4 of the 5 meetings going over this number, and the other still having 2 total goals. But this season is different.
In just 11 games, Cincinnati has netted 13 goals, while only allowing 9, which is tied for best in the MLS. Who are they tied with? The Columbus Crew. And Real Salt Lake.
The Crew have netted 12 goals in 10 matches, conceding just 9 as well. Defense has been a big part of both of these squads tactics this year, and I think they show out tonight. Cincinnati struggles to score on the road, and are coming off a 1-0 defeat at Orlando City. Their backline played well, and recorded the shutout, but tonight they face the Crew’s attack.
Columbus played to a nil-nil draw in their last MLS match at home, and have gone under this number in 6 of 10 matches this year. I think we see two very good teams played each other to a nil-nil or 1-1 draw in 90 minutes, with perhaps the home team securing a sneaky victory.
Regardless, give me the under for plus money. Feel free to take Under 3 at (-148) if you want to Pay the Juiceman, but I’ll opt for the plus money with no push.
Houston Dynamo vs Sporting KC Best Bets
Sporting KC looks to beat the Dynamo at home tonight

Best Bets: Sporting KC TT Over 1.5 (+120) Bovada
We are backing Sporting to put the ball in the back of the net tonight. They already played the Dynamo once this season, playing to a 1-1 draw in Houston, but at home tonight, I like the home team to celebrate plenty.
Sporting KC has scored 18 goals in just 11 games, which is tied for 5th in the MLS. Sporting has scored 2+ goals at home in all but 1 game this season (5/6), and the Dynamo’s defense seems to struggle on the road. Houston has allowed just 10 goals in 10 games this season, but 5 of those have come on the road in just 4 road games. They’ve had 1 road shutout, allowed 1 goal in a road win, and then allowed 2 goals in their 2 road losses.
These teams have already played and sort of figured one another out. I think Sporting’s offense continues to stay hot at home, where they’ve netted 13 of their 18 goals this year. Ultimately, I trust Sporting to do what it takes to win, but with their susceptible defense, I will rather just bet on their offense to excel at home tonight.
