MLS & EPL Weekend Soccer Preview: Best Bets on the Pitch This Weekend

Can Haaland and Man City win again at West Ham?

We’ve got a huge soccer weekend all across the world, as tonight brings us a full action of some MLS in American, while tomorrow brings the last matchday of the 2023-2024 English Premier League season. This article brings you our best bets in both leagues, so we have you covered on the soccer slate all weekend long!

Let’s dive in!

MLS & EPL Weekend Best Bets

Per usual, we’re hunting plus money. Here’s what I’ve got this weekend.

Philadelphia Union vs New England Revolution Best Bets

Matchup Information – Philadelphia Union vs New England Revolution

  • Venue & Location: Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, MA)
  • Date: Saturday, May 18th, 2024
  • Kick Off: 7:30pm Eastern

Best Bets: Philadelphia Union TT Over 1.5 (+105) BetOnline

We are getting the best number on the market as this can be found around -110 elsewhere, I think the Union can net two goals on the road tonight. They face the Revolution who have had plenty of issues stopping opponents this season, allowing 22 goals in just 11 matches this year.

The Revolution are coming off a 4-2 loss on the road, and their last time out at home, they lost 4-1 to Inter Miami. The Union’s offense has been on fire this MLS campaign, and I don’t see them slowing down at all. New England has allowed goals in 4/5 games at home, giving up 8 total to opponents in Gillette Stadium.

Now, let’s talk about Philly’s offense. They’ve never been shutout in 12 games this season, plus they’ve netted 22 total goals. Philadelphia has especially been fantastic on the road, scoring 2+ on the road in 5 of their 6 matches, including their L5. They’ve scored 12 total goals on the road this year, and I could see this one getting out of hand tonight. Give me the Union to net plenty of goals and ultimately win this one on the road.

English Premier League Match Day 38 Best Bets

Saka and Arsenal look to gain 3 final points this EPL Season

Saka and Arsenal look to gain 3 final points this EPL Season

Now, the EPL is pretty much wrapped up. We have our four UEFA Champions League representatives locked in for next season (Congrats Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa), and we have our Europa League candidates solidified as well, although those four could move up and down amongst each other. There are really just two games that matter tomorrow in the Premier League, and I’ve got picks in both of them.

Best Bets: Arsenal ML/BTTS No (-105) BetOnline

BetOnline is offering us a lovely price for Arsenal to essentially record a shutout win. This exact parlay they offer is Arsenal’s ML combined with Both Teams to Score – No, meaning Arsenal must win and keep the clean sheet. And I think they do that.

The Gunners don’t control their own destiny, as they trail Manchester City by 2 points. They need West Ham to somehow win or draw, but regardless of whether that miracle happens, Arsenal should give it their all. They face a poor Everton team that has nothing to play for, and at home in the Emirates, I expect them to get it done.

Unfortunately, this will not be enough for the Gunnars to guarantee an EPL Title, but it will at least give them a fighting chance. Give me Arsenal to have one last great showing to cap off a hell of a season.

Best Bets: Manchester City/West Ham United Under 4 (+111) Bovada

Look at me, taking another soccer under for plus money! Manchester City controls their own destiny, all they need to do is win to secure the English Premier League Title. I think they do that, but I don’t think West Ham lets them overdo it.

I’ll take the Under 4 for plus money and push potential as I’m sure Man City starts off firing early. However, if they go up 1-0 or even 2-0, I could certainly see them taking their foot off the gas and giving some reserves some minutes. West Ham literally has nothing to play more. They cannot move up or down in the standings, locking themselves in at 9th in the league.

We saw West Ham lose 3-1 to City back in September, and I believe their players may already be checked out. Give me a boring game that Manchester City dominates and wins, lifting another EPL Title in the process.
