The middle of the week is here and Major League Soccer is giving us a 13-match slate before the weekend. We’ve been hot in the MLS, as you can see below, however we’ve been on a bit of a skid. We’ve lost our last four, so it’s time to get things right tonight with our best bets on the pitch. Let’s get into it.

Major League Soccer: Wednesday’s Predictions May 28
Philadelphia Union vs. Toronto FC Best Bets
Denandre Kerr and Toronto FC host the Philadelphia Union tonight
Best Bet: Philadelphia/Toronto Under 2.75 (-120) BetOnline
The Union are at the top of the table and rightfully so, but on the road they’ve been noticeably not as good as they are at home. Philly just let up a 3-1 home lead in the final three minutes plus stoppage time to let Miami steal a point (I’m only a little salty since we had Union ML for plus chicken). They’ve won their last two away from home, but against bad competition. Toronto FC has a very strong defense, and they will certainly play to keep this low scoring as they try to earn a point at home. A draw is a victory for Toronto tonight.
Prior to their last two matches, Toronto saw eight straight stay under 2.5. Defense is the name of their game. They are at the bottom of the table and need as many points as they can get. Against a tougher opponent at home, they will most definitely try to keep this a scoreless draw if they can.
Remember, our unit is split into two bets. We have a half unit each on Under 2.5 and Under 3, both priced at (-120). Let’s hope there’s no more than two goals and we win both bets.
Prediction: Philadelphia Wins 1-0 (+750)
CF Montreal vs. Inter Miami Best Bets
Luis Suarez and Inter Miami are back at home tonight against Montreal
Best Bets: Inter Miami -1.5 (+110) Bovada
Back Miami at home against a bad opponent. They just had an incredible comeback on the road against the Eastern Conference leaders, and now they host Montreal who is at the bottom of the table by themselves. Last time Miami was at home, they were skunked by Orlando 3-0. They will not let that happen again.
I’m not sure if Mr. Lionel Messi will get the start or not, as he and Suarez both played 95+ minutes last weekend, plus they host the Crew on Saturday. However, they’ve had no trouble scoring at home, and Montreal is allowing 1.67 goals per match. I don’t think Miami is totally looking ahead to Saturday’s match, and even if we see some stars sitting, they have the weapons to take down the worst team in the league by two goals at home.
Prediction: Miami Wins 3-0 (+850)
Minnesota United vs. Vancouver Whitecaps Best Bets
Can Vancouver take down Minnesota United at home?
Best Bets: Vancouver Whitecaps ML (+114) BetOnline
Up in Vancouver, we are backing the Whitecaps. They already beat Minnesota United 3-1 on the road, allowing only an 80th minute goal after it was already 3-0. Vancouver is on top of the Western Conference and leads the MLS in points. They are tied for second in the West in goals scored, while also leading the league in goals allowed, giving up less than one per match.
The Whitecaps are unbeaten in their last 10 matches of MLS competition, they’ve netted 16 in seven matches at home, and are 5-1-1 in their own stadium as well. This team is rolling and are still in great form. Minnesota is just below them on the table, but they’ve gotten too comfortable at home.
They have trouble scoring on the road, they can’t do so against Vancouver as we saw in the first match, and I don’t think things change. Most recently on the road, Minnesota lost to Houston in Texas, as they were shutout 2-0. Against a much tougher opponent, I don’t think anything goes well for them, and I expect Vancouver to dominate.
I have also sprinkled on Vancouver ML/Over 2.5 at (+225) at BetOnline for half a unit. The Whitecaps could get there on their own, however I think we see the same score as last time.
Prediction: Vancouver Wins 3-1 (+1500)
