Back we go to the Leagues Cup with matches again on Sunday. We’ve hit our last five bets in this tournament after starting off slower, so let’s look at the slate and see if we can find any spots worth wagering as clubs compete in their second match of league phase.

Leagues Cup: Sunday’s Predictions August 3
We are heating up. After starting off this tournament 1-4, we have hit six of our last seven bets and five straight to end up where we are right now. Let’s keep things going as this competition continues, and carry this momentum with us into the start of the English Premier League here shortly.
FC Cincinnati vs. FC Juarez: Leagues Cup Picks

Evander scored FC Cincinnati’s opening goal against Monterrey
Best Bet: FC Cincinnati ML (-128) BetOnline
FC Juarez had not won a Liga MX match this season before coming to this tournament. However they showed up and took down Charlotte 4-1. But how impressive is that win? They drew with Tijuana and América in domestic league play, but also lost to the Tigres, whom we have bet on plenty in this cup.
The point being, we haven’t seen this Juarez team step up against formidable competition. Tonight in a road game they’ll face Cincinnati who are red hot.
FC Cincinnati just took down Monterrey to start the Leagues Cup, but prior to that, they had won six of their last eight matches outright, going 6-1-1 in that stretch while shutting out Inter Miami twice.
They are one point behind Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference for a reason, and with the benefit of playing at home again, I think they earn another three points to top the table with Portland after two matches.
Prediction: FC Cincinnati Wins 3-1 (+1100)
Colorado Rapids vs. Club Tijuana: Leagues Cup Picks

Djordje Mihailovic leads the Rapids in the Leagues Cup tonight
Best Bet: Colorado Rapids ML (+108) BetOnline
Back the Rapids at home tonight. Club Tijuana just got beat down by the LA Galaxy (who aren’t that great), 5-2 in Los Angeles. Then they had to hop on a plane, get to Denver, turn around and face the Rapids after some travel and minimal rest.
Prior to this Leagues Cup, Tijuana beat Querétaro, which doesn’t mean much, lost to América and drew with FC Juarez. None of those results are particularly impressive, plus they failed to show up against the Galaxy.
Despite falling behind in the 53′ minute to Santos, the Rapids battled, netting an equalizer less than 10 minutes later, and eventually finding a winner in the 86′ minute. I simply think Colorado is the better team here, have the benefit of playing at home and avoiding any travel, and they have certainly been battled tested recently.
Before the Leagues Cup, the Rapids beat Vancouver 3-0 at home (No. 2 in West), drew with Seattle 3-3 on the road (No. 4 in West), and lost to Philadelphia on the road (No. 1 in East). Regardless, they competed where they should have, and tonight, hosting an inferior team, Colorado should pick up three easy points.
I would be more hesitant to play this if it wasn’t plus money.
Prediction: Colorado Rapids Win 3-1 (+1100)
