The second matches of Group Stage in the FIFA Club World Cup continue today, and if you’re a novice footy fan, you may not have heard of some of these teams. Regardless, let’s get into our best bets.
FIFA Club World Cup: Saturday’s Predictions June 21
Borussia Dortmund faces the Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa while Brazilian side Fluminense takes on Ulsan Hyundai. The Sundowns are on top of Group F after winning their opening match while Dortmund and Fluminense drew, however they need to get past the German Powerhouse today.
In Group E, Argentine side River Plate is in control after beating the Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan. Inter Milan drew with Monterrey, so both clubs with be looking to gain three points today.

I have no problem paying a little extra juice for some push potential here. I think Dortmund comes out screaming, knowing they are the much better squad and that they need three points in this match. The Germans will do whatever it takes to win, and I see them shutting out the Sundowns.
As for Mamelodi who sits alone on the top of Group F, I see them being extremely conservative. They only scored once against Ulsan in their first match, and being outmanned against a top European squad could be incredibly daunting to them. I see them crumbling when the lights are too bright this afternoon against Dortmund.
Give me Dortmund in a low scoring game, as I don’t think they’ll go too crazy.

Inter Milan vs. Urawa Red Diamonds: Club World Cup Best Bets

Inter Milan was just embarrassed by Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League Final. If you hadn’t heard, they lost 5-0. It was ugly. And then Monterrey played them very tough in their opening match, resulting in a 1-1 draw. Inter see River Plate on top of the table, and face them in their last match. A win today means that match will likely decide the group.
Inter should dominate today. The Red Diamonds aren’t anywhere in their stratosphere. The European teams who messed around in their first match have proven to show up in the next one so far this tournament, and with a team as good as Inter’s back line, a shutout should be totally fine.
The Red Diamonds earned just one corner kick in their opening match and only scored on a penalty. Inter Milan’s backline is one of the best in Europe, much better than that of River Plate. Today Inter should dominate this game and win in shutout fashion, and I’m fine with the price considering the caliber of both teams.
Prediction: Inter Milan Wins 2-0 (+600)
River Plate vs. Monterrey: Club World Cup Best Bets

River Plate had the benefit of playing the worst team in the group to open this tournament, and they gained three points like they should. However, Inter and Monterrey were playing to win the group. They are the two best teams amongst these four, and after a draw between the two of them, I expect them both to go out and get a win tonight.
We are getting a great price for this double chance line in my eyes, as I do not believe River Plate deserves to be this heavy of a favorite. Sergio Ramos took over for Monterrey when they needed it in their first match, and with that veteran presence on the field, I’m sure they will feel unstoppable in the Rose Bowl Stadium tonight.
The books already think this is going to be a low scoring affair, which I think plays perfectly into the Mexican side in this one.
