The FIFA Club World Cup officially kicked off last night, however, we’ve got four matches scheduled today, so let’s dive in and find our best bets.
FIFA Club World Cup: Sunday’s Predictions June 15
Our first match is at noon eastern but Bayern Munich is a -50000 favorite over Auckland City. I have to imagine the German side gets the job done, and there’s no way I’ll be wagering on that match. Ironically enough, the last match of the day isn’t tickling my fancy either.
The Seattle Sounders are hosting Botafogo, and I do lean with the MLS Side at home, but can’t take myself to bet it. However lets get in to the best competition of the day!

It’s not terrible juice, but there’s a bit of some tinfoil hat thinking going on. Inter Miami just opened the tournament and didn’t play well, playing Al Ahly to a scoreless draw. This is the first “big name vs. big name” match in this competition, and it’s happening in the Rose Bowl Stadium, one of the largest in the country.
Surely these teams are going to put on a show for the fans. Paris Saint-Germain is coming off a UEFA Champions League victory. Some would argue that they care less about the Club World Cup after winning that trophy, however I think it is even more motivation to win this tournament in the offseason.
Ultimately, both teams have extremely strong attacks. I expect both of them to showcase their offense as much as they can, resulting in at least three goals for us. This over is slightly less juice than playing Both Teams to Score, so I’ll root for three goals regardless of who scores them.

The No. 3 ranked team in Portugal takes on the No. 3 ranked team from Brazil this afternoon at MetLife Stadium. This game has much more meaning after Inter Miami drew with Al Ahly last night. Now Group A is wide open, and a win from either one of these sides would put them in a great position to upset Miami and win the group.
Palmeiras has the benefit of currently being in the middle of their season, so they may be in slightly better form than Porto. However, I will be backing Porto. For plus money and push potential, I think FC Porto is the better team.
Yes, they are looking ahead to playing Inter Miami on Thursday, but a win today means they can afford a draw on Thursday and still have a hold on this group. I am usually one to argue that Western Hemisphere soccer can compete with those teams from across the pond, however I don’t think tonight is one of those instances.
Give me Porto to win this match.
