We’re back for week four of the English Premier League after a week off. Today, we have Burnley hosting Liverpool in a match at Turf Moor Stadium. These two teams haven’t met since February 2024, but the matchup looks the same.

Liverpool is the defending league champs and are off to a great start. They’re 3-0 to start off the season and have a new look as well. The team has brought in some serious weapons in Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak, and Florian Wirtz but did lose Darwin Nunez in the offseason.

The team is off to a good start offensively. Looks like even though there are more mouths to feed, they are moving the ball around and have six guys with at least one goal. Ekitike has snagged two goals and an assist as well and Isak will be making his debut.

We should see a lot of the same as last year from Liverpool in terms of dominance. They’re currently tied for the first spot in the table but a win puts them back in the top spot.

Burnley will have tough task trying to get back in the win column

Burnley is 1-0-2 to start the season and seventeenth in the table. They come into this game off a loss to Manchester Unites two weeks ago. It’ll be interesting to see how they try to defend this powerful Liverpool offense.

They didn’t really bring in anyone during the off season to boost the offense. Armando Broja came in from Chelsea and Kyle Walker from Manchester City. This team really does need some serious help though if they want to contend this season.

Last game vs Man United, they fought hard and kept coming back. First down 1-0 and then down 2-1. A late penalty shot in the eighth minute of extra time by Bruno Fernandes is what sealed the game for Man U. Burnley could’ve almost won this game.

I think this game will be all Liverpool. We’re going on the spread because there is no value on the moneyline. They should be able to get this done and win by multiple goals.

The offense is incredibly stacked on the Liverpool side. Alex Isak will make his debut, and I think is going to have a major impact. Him alongside Mo Salah is going to be killer. Isak pretty much replaces Nunez, but then there is Ekitike and Wirtz to worry about.

The first play we’re taking is for the value and it’s Cody Gakpo to score or assist for -110. The value is insane here and the guy has two goals and an assist on the year. This could be an extremely solid play as passing will definitely be an option for everyone now.

For an anytime goal scorer, I like Hugo Ekitike at -110. This is also a nice value play for a guy who’s found the back of the net twice already this season. I like for him to continue to stay involved and bang one home for us.
