Once again, we have an English Premier League slate to dissect for Saturday’s action. Now, we have a much smaller EPL slate with only four matches to break down, however, sometimes the smaller slates are easier to find edges. We aren’t overwhelmed with trying to find an advantage in seven to eight games, but rather can focus on just a few, hoping to find the diamond in the rough. Let’s see if we can do just that by discussing our favorite EPL picks for Saturday!

Our overall record reflects the bad EPL betting season we have had. Lucky for us, there are still several months for us to dig ourselves out of this hole. And it starts with some winners tomorrow.

English Premier League: Saturday’s Predictions December 13

As far as the Liverpool match goes, I want no part of that team at the moment, but I do lean with Brighton on the double chance line. And for the Gunners, I’ve got to think they absolutely obliterate the Wolves, but I can’t seem to find any value.

Best Bet: Chelsea ML/Under 3.5  (+150) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook

The Blues are back at Stamford Bridge hosting an inferior Everton squad. Sure, Everton are currently sitting No. 7 on the table, just a point behind Chelsea who are fifth, but the quality of play as been much different. Chelsea are tied for fourth in goals scored this year, netting 25 in their 15 matches, while allowed just one per contest as well. That puts the Blues tied for third in terms of goals allowed, making them one of the best back lines in the entire EPL.

As for Everton, their numbers do not compare. They’ve only netted 18 goals, averaging 1.2 per match. That puts them tied for No. 15 in the league, way further down than their current position, meaning they’ve won some very low scoring contests. Defensively, Everton has allowed 17 goals, ranking tied for sixth. So their defense is fine, but I’m not sure it will be against Chelsea on the road.

They are coming off two shutout victories over Nottingham Forest and AFC Bournemouth, two clubs way down in the standings. But on the road, they’ve lost to two top clubs in Liverpool and Manchester City. I see Chelsea being good enough to win this match at home without Everton scoring, so Chelsea ML/Both Team to Score No at +200 could also be a look.

Prediction: Chelsea Wins 1-0 (+600)

Best Bet: Burnley/Fulham Under 2.5 (-135) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook

I don’t mind paying this juice, considering the two teams involved. While both clubs do concede plenty of goals, neither scores that many. Burnley is currently in a relegation spot, but there are multiple matches for them to regain position on the table. However they are the third lowest scoring offense in the entire EPL. As for Fulham, they are No. 13 in terms of goals scored, which is still bottom half of the league. Plus, those numbers are a bit inflated considering they needed four goals recently at home, and netted three against the Wolves.

Point being, this match should be very low scoring. Fulham have been shutout by Chelsea and Arsenal this year. While Burnley’s back line might not compare, I have faith in them this weekend at home. This is a chance for them to earn some much needed points against a team that is more their caliber. Look for the hosts to come out fired up, especially defensively, keeping this game under three total goals.

Prediction: 0-0 Draw (+900)
