The English Premier League brings us five matches on Saturday’s EPL slate to bet on. While I’ll be the first to admit, our season hasn’t been that great, but as we finish the first third of the year, we are turning things around and trending in the right direction. Let’s keep it going with our favorite EPL picks for Saturday.

Best Bet: Manchester City ML/Both Teams to Score No (+115) BetOnline

Back Manchester City to win this game to nil with me. I cannot think of a reason as to why City wouldn’t cash this bet for us. They are at home, at the Etihad, facing one of the worst offenses in the league.

The hosts sit seven points behind Arsenal and one point behind Chelsea in the EPL. They are currently in third, ranking tied for first in goals scored and third in goals allowed. So far through 12 league matches, Manchester City are netting two goals per game, while allowing less than one. They cannot let anymore points slip away, and coming off a UEFA Champions League loss, this is the perfect spot to bounce back.

City blanked Liverpool in their last home match, and have three other home shutouts so far this year. Leeds United are at the bottom of the table for a reason. Sure, their defense isn’t great, but the offense is abysmal. Leeds are second worst in goals scored this season in the EPL, netting just 11 in their 12 matches.

City can win this in shutout fashion with their JV squad.

Prediction: Manchester City Wins 3-0 (+675)

Best Bet: Everton/Newcastle United Under 2.5 (-123) BetOnline

We’re paying a little bit of juice for this, but I’m willing to back both defenses here (and fade both offenses). Through 12 matches, both of these teams have netted just 13 goals, barely getting one per match. Defensively, Everton has allowed 13 and Newcastle has conceded 15. Pretty solid numbers compared to where they are on the table. The problem with both teams is their attack.

Newcastle is a team that struggles to produce goals on the road. They were shutout in their first three road matches, and have netted just three goals in six total away from home. The only game where they’ve scored more than once on the road was in a cupcake win in the UCL. We aren’t reading into that.

Everton have seen three straight matches go under this number, and four of their last five. They have three home shutouts already this season, and have scored in just four of their seven home contests. I trust their backline enough to lead them to a draw in this match.

Prediction: 1-1 Draw (+525) OR 0-0 Draw (+850)

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Fulham EPL Picks

Best Bet: Tottenham ML (+129) BetOnline

We are betting value here. This number should not have a plus sign next to it. That’s pretty much the extent of my handicap.

Sure, the Spurs are dealing with plenty of injuries, but they are simply the much better team. At home, they should get the job done. Tottenham sits at No. 9 on the EPL table, but they are one of four teams who have netted 20 goals so far this season, and they are also No. 8 in goals conceded. Lucky for them, Fulham’s attack isn’t that dangerous.

The visitors have netted just 13 goals this season, and just four total in five road matches. They do not have a road win yet this year, only earning a draw against Brighton. Fulham lost to Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Everton on the road. The Spurs should be able to handle them, despite having to plug some personnel holes.

Prediction: Tottenham Wins 1-0 (+675)
