Saturday morning brings us a full slate of English Premier League action for us to wager on, and although it’s been a rough start to this season, we’ve got to turn things around. We are certainly trending in the right direction after two winning weeks, but we’ve still got a ways to go to get back into the green. Let’s look at our favorite EPL picks for this weekend and see if we can find any winners.

Fading one of the highest scoring offenses in the entire EPL is never fun, but Tottenham are near the top of the table for a reason. Their backline has been playing phenomenal, ranking No. 2 in the league in goals allowed, giving up less than one per match so far this year. At home, against an injured Blues team, the Spurs should be able to take down the high powered offense.

The Spurs have not done well in their last two outings at home, giving them tons of motivation to perform well this weekend. Chelsea have struggled away from home against top caliber opponents, losing to Manchester United at Old Trafford and dropping a match to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League at Allianz Arena. The Blues only netted one goal in each of those games.

Tottenham have the defense to hold Chelsea scoreless if they choose.

Prediction: 1-1 Draw (+600)

I do not care that this is juicy. Arsenal will win in a shutout, just like they’ve done all season long. The Gunners are currently on an eight match winning streak, shutting out their last six opponents. In fact, Arsenal have 12 shutouts in all competitions this season, and have allowed just three goals in nine EPL matches, which is the best in the league by over four goals.

Arsenal have only conceded to Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle, all quality foes. Despite Burnley netting 12 goals this season, five of them came in their last two matches against Leeds and Wolverhampton. They will be no match for the Gunners, and even producing a shot on frame might seem impossible for the hosts. Don’t overthink this, just back Arsenal to keep doing what they’ve been doing all year long.

Prediction: Arsenal Wins 3-0 (+700)

Now typically I am one who likes to fade Manchester United whenever I get the chance, but even I can admit, they are playing better recently than they have been. They sit at No. 6 on the EPL table and are currently on a three match winning streak, tasting victory in four of their last five as well. Although two of their three losses came on the road, Nottingham Forest has been horrendous.

Nottingham Forest have scored a league-worst five goals in nine matches so far this season. They’ve also conceded 17 in just nine matches, ranking third worst in the EPL. Forest have been shutout in their last four league contests, losing to AFC Bournemouth, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Sunderland. This team went a full calendar month without netting a goal in EPL play, with their last hoorah happening against Burnley in late September.

Manchester United are the much more talented roster, and I believe it will show this weekend. Plus money is criminal for this wager considering both team’s current form.

Prediction: Manchester United Wins 3-1 (+1600)
