We fully (reverse) swept the EPL betting board yesterday on Saturday’s minuscule slate, so of course, we are getting right back on the horse to get after Sunday’s action. The English Premier League brings us five matches to wager on, and we found our favorite picks in the league. Let’s dive in to our favorite bets on the pitch to kick off our NFL Sunday.

English Premier League: Sunday’s Predictions October 5
Newcastle United vs. Nottingham Forest EPL Picks

Chris Wood has been Nottingham Forest’s only sign of life on offense this year
Best Bet: Newcastle United/Nottingham Forest Under 3 (-140) BetOnline
I have been burned plenty on unders this year, so I bought this one up for some push potential, but ultimately we have two struggling offenses. In six EPL matches so far this season, both of these teams are netting less than one goal per outing, while the Newcastle defense has also been very good at holding their opponents at bay.
The Magpies have shown up against bad teams, but fell to good ones so far this year. They’ve been involved in three scoreless draws, all of which were on the road, while beating Wolverhampton at home by a score of 1-0. In their nine competitive matches this season, six have either stayed under or had exactly three goals total, and I do not trust Nottingham Forest’s offense to contribute.
The visitor’s focus will surely be on trying to slow down their superior hosts, limiting any chances they give. Forest would be more than fine with a draw in this match, and I’m not sure the Newcastle offense is clicking enough to push this over.
Prediction: 1-1 Draw (+800)
Everton vs. Crystal Palace EPL Picks

Ismaila Sarr and Crystal Palace are the last remaining unbeaten team in the EPL
Best Bet: Crystal Palace Draw No Bet (+108) BetOnline
We are getting plus money and push potential on one of the hottest teams in the EPL. If you have more stones than I, go ahead and sprinkle on Palace ML at nearly 2-1 odds for a great sweat. I think they pull off this win on the road.
They have yet to taste defeat this season, going unbeaten in all six of their league matches (three wins, three draws), while also winning and drawing against Fredrikstad in the UEFA Conference League Qualifiers, beating Dynamo Kyiv in their first real UEFA Conference League match, as well as having a penalty kick shootout win over Millwall. Palace have won three straight matches outright, and three of their last four in the EPL. Even without Eberechi Eze, this team is producing chances, defending well, and I believe they are riding some incredible momentum that will be tough to break.
As for Everton, they have not won a match outright in their last four overall. At home this year, they have beaten Brighton & Hove Albion, Mansfield Town (EFL League One), and drew with Aston Villa, 0-0, and most recently with West Ham, 1-1. This will certainly be one of Everton’s harder tests of the season so far, and again, I think this Palace team is cooking with too much gasoline to slow down.
Pity the fool who tries to extinguish their flame.
Prediction: Crystal Palace Wins 1-0 (+725)
Aston Villa vs. Burnley EPL Picks

Back Ollie Watkins and Aston Villa at Villa Park
Best Bet: Aston Villa ML/BTTS No (+180) BetOnline
Just a half unit sprinkle for us, as we once again back this Aston Villa team. They have let us down plenty this season, but they came through the last time we bet on them, and I really love this spot.
Despite having netted just four goals in six EPL matches this year, Villa are finally finding their groove. They have won three straight overall, and are unbeaten in 90 minutes in their last six competitive matches. Villa just beat Feyenoord Rotterdam 2-0 on the road in the UEFA Europa League, along with beating Bologna at home 1-0, and Fulham in the EPL, 3-1.
They are 2-1-1 at Villa Park this year, beating the two mentioned teams above while drawing with Newcastle to open the season before losing to Crystal Palace back when they were off to a slow start. But now they seem good to go, and Burnley should be no problem. Yes, Burnley have been frisky, only being shutout twice this season, in their very first match on the road against Tottenham, and against Liverpool at home, where they lost on a stoppage time penalty kick. Other than that, they are competing well, despite coming off a 5-1 loss against Manchester City at the Etihad.
At Villa Park, against a very talented Aston Villa team that has dropped too many games this season, I don’t see Burnley containing them. The hosts are finding their much needed momentum, and I’m sure they will carry some of that into this final match before international break.
Prediction: Aston Villa Wins 2-0 (+650)
