One more week without NFL on our screens on Sunday, but we’ve still got some soccer early in the morning. The English Premier Leagues brings us four matches on Sunday, including a very exciting showdown at Anfield between two of the leagues best. We’ve found our favorite EPL picks in three of the four matches on the slate, including the battle between Liverpool and Arsenal. Let’s get right into it!
So far in the EPL, this is where we stand.

We still have one play pending as I type this (Hold on, Leeds), but it’s never too early to lock in Sunday’s winners.

English Premier League: Sunday’s Predictions August 31
Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Manchester City EPL Picks

Can Phil Foden and Manchester City take down Brighton on the road?
Best Bet: Manchester City ML (-110) BetOnline
This price is simply too good to pass up. Manchester City looked ridiculously good against the Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road, beating them 4-0 to start the season. Then they laid a stinker against Tottenham at home, getting shutout 2-0. This is a perfect spot for them to get back to form.
Manchester City’s JV squad could beat Brighton on the road. They aren’t that good.
Brighton drew against Fulham, 1-1, thanks to a penalty kick, and followed it up by losing to Everton 2-0 on the road. Even back at home, they do not have the tools to hang with Manchester City.
If City want to compete for the EPL title, they need to go out and get three points on the road against inferior teams. This is one of those spots. Brighton have not scored from the field yet this season, and I expect the visitor’s back line to be laser focused in this match with nothing big on the horizon.
Could this number be a trap? Absolutely. But there is plenty of value in this price and that’s worth a stab to me.
Prediction: Manchester City Wins 2-0 (+1100)
Liverpool vs. Arsenal EPL Picks

Can Arsenal get a tough point on the road without their stud winger?
Best Bet: Arsenal or Draw Double Chance (-137) BetOnline
The match of the weekend by far. Last year’s league winners host the team with the best chance at taking that title from them at a historic venue. Here we go again chasing value, and I see it with the Gunners Double Chance at this price.
The hosts have been iffy in both of their two matches. Sure, they have two wins and six points, but at what cost? They let up a two goal lead at home against AFC Bournemouth, scoring the winner in the 88′ minute and adding another one in stoppage to win by two. Then, after leading 1-0 at halftime and playing with a man advantage against Newcastle, they played the Magpies to a 2-2 second half, allowing an equalizer in the 88′ minute, but finding a winner in the 90’+10′.
Liverpool have looked bad against weaker opponents, and now they face their biggest challenger to the EPL Title. Arsenal have two shutouts so far this season, their offense is clicking, and even without Bukayo Saka, they are very deep on the attack and it will show in this match. Despite these teams playing to a 2-2 draw in both meetings last year, I think this game is much lower scoring.
For what it’s worth, Arsenal also have two extra days of rest compared to Liverpool, who won on Monday, while the Gunners beat Leeds last Saturday. Give me a 1-1 draw or the visitors to pull off an upset.
Prediction: Liverpool/Arsenal 1-1 Draw (+650)
Aston Villa vs. Crystal Palace EPL Picks

Ismaila Sarr has Crystal Palace’s only goal this year
Best Bet: Crystal Palace or Draw Double Chance (+101) BetOnline
Value, value, value.
I have been severely unimpressed with Aston Villa throughout two matches this season. They’ve been shutout twice, and have not scored in three straight English Premier League matches dating back to last season. The offense has yet to find it’s groove, and they may overlook this Crystal Palace squad.
Palace look just fine without Eberechi Eze. Yes, they drew with Chelsea with him to open the season, but then also picked up a point against Nottingham Forest last week. Historically speaking, Palace have had Villa’s number as well.
They are unbeaten in their last five matches against Villa, with a 4-1-0 record. They’ve outscored Villa 7-1 in the last two matches, did so 11-4 in four matches all of last year, and have outscored this specific opponent 16-4 over the last five head to head contests.
Crystal Palace is in good form, while Aston Villa is still trying to find their groove. I trust them to earn at least a point on the road for plus money.
Prediction: Aston Villa/Crystal Palace 1-1 Draw (+575) OR Palace Wins 1-0 (+1000)
