Once again, the weekend rolls around, and of course, we have a full slate of College Football with Week 1 beginning. However, as I said last week, let’s get used to starting our Saturday mornings with some sweats across the pond in the English Premier League. There are six matches on the slate, so there’s plenty of spots for us to find our favorite EPL picks. Let’s get into it!

English Premier League: Saturday’s Predictions August 30
Tottenham and Richarlison are looking for a third straight EPL win
Tottenham Hotspur vs. AFC Bournemouth EPL Picks
Best Bet: Tottenham ML (-132) BetOnline
Back Tottenham with me at home. This team is flying high to start the season, and I don’t see them stopping. For starters, the Spurs failed to beat AFC Bournemouth last year in either English Premier League match, losing 1-0 on the road and more recently drawing 2-2 at home back in March.
They should have this one circled. Tottenham are also of to a hot 2-0-0 start, beating Burnley 3-0 at home and then shutting out Manchester City on the road, 2-0. The Spurs also just signed Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. The Dutch attacking midfielder won’t see the field Saturday, but he will be on site and I’m sure it will create some mojo inside the stadium.
The Spurs have yet to allow a goal in the EPL this season, allowing just four shots on target in each contest.
While Bournemouth had a strong showing against Liverpool at Anfield and beat the Wolves at home last weekend, they come off a Carabao Cup loss to Brentford. Perhaps they were looking ahead to this contest, but I think Tottenham have solidified themselves as one of the top teams in the league this season.
Living up to this standard means getting three points at home against an inferior club.
Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur Wins 3-1 (+1000)
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Everton EPL Picks

Although only one of the last three matches between these teams has stayed under, we’ve seen three of the last five stay under 2.5, and the other two were one-sided shutouts. Wolverhampton has had a tough ride so far this season. They opened against Manchester City and lost 4-0 at home, and followed it up by getting shutout against AFC Bournemouth on the road, losing 1-0.
The Wolves have yet to score a goal in the EPL this season. However, they are coming off a 3-2 home win over West Ham United in the Carabao Cup.
On the other side of things, Everton have yet to allowed a goal from the field. They lost their opener on the road to Leeds United on an 84′ minute penalty kick, which cashed our Leeds 1-0 correct score prop (+650). Then, they shutout Brighton at home 2-0, and beat Mansfield Town 2-0 at home in the Carabao Cup this week.
Sure, they are back on the road, but they have Jordan Pickford in net, who has six saves in two matches. Everton have allowed just six shots on target from the field this season, excluding the PK which caused a loss. Against an offense like Wolves, I don’t really see anyone having much success on offense, but Everton should find another low scoring win.
A scoreless draw (+725) wouldn’t surprise me for those wanting a full 90 minute sweat.
Prediction: Everton Wins 1-0 (+650)
Leeds United vs. Newcastle United EPL Picks
Can Leeds pull off an upset at Newcastle?

Okay, hear me out. This is a value play, as Newcastle United should not be this big of a favorite in my eyes. Let’s discuss.
For starters, Leeds has held their own historically against Newcastle, drawing three times in the last five matches while splitting the other two contests, which includes a 2-1 Leeds United win on the road. Now Leeds beat Everton on a PK in their first match, and were destroyed by Arsenal on the road in their second contest.
I think they are still a solid football club and will be ready to go on the road, against a squad that is still finding their legs this season. Newcastle salvaged a draw against Aston Villa away from home while losing to Liverpool at home on Monday in the final minutes. They will be without striker Anthony Gordon who picked up a red card last match. Gordon produced 10 shots in just 1.5 matches this season, so does this mean Alexander Isak finally sees the pitch?
No, the striker is likely onto his next club before the end of the weekend.
Leeds are an exciting team to watch with young talent, who also have some brief Premier League experience. This club was in the top league not too long ago, and they already have three crucial points. I think they play hard enough on Saturday to earn us at least a draw, and I could see them sneaking out a win against a team with several off the field concerns.
Prediction: 1-1 Draw (+650) OR Leeds United Wins 2-1 (+1200)
