The UCL Champions have stomped their way to another tournament final. Throughout six matches of this competition, PSG have scored 16 goals, allowing just one, and have won five of their matches in shutout fashion. Sure, they played the Seattle Sounders in group stage, but PSG have beaten plenty of great clubs along the way.
They opened the tournament taking down Atlético Madrid, then destroyed Inter Miami in the Round of 16. They followed that up with wins against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the next couple of rounds, ending up with a spot against Chelsea in the FIFA Club World Cup Final.
The Blues have had a bit of an easier route, but they still had to win their games.
Chelsea finished second in their group after losing to Flamengo, but have since won four straight matches, including a 2-0 shutout. The Chelsea offense is firing, and the defense has only allowed two goals in their five wins of this tournament, but this is by the far their toughest test of the tournament, and it could be a rude wake up call.

PSG have taken down Bayern Munich (No. 1 in Bundesliga), Real Madrid (No. 2 in La Liga), Atlético Madrid (No. 3 in La Liga), and Inter Miami (No. 5 in MLS). Chelsea have not seen a team from Europe’s top five leagues, having their only match against top competition come against Benfica (No. 2 in Primeira Liga).
This is not a knock on Benfica, but the Portuguese league simply isn’t as good overall as the other five leagues in Europe. Therefore, Chelsea is not as battle tested as PSG was in this competition. I tip my cap to the Brazilian sides who all gave the Blues (and others) a run for their money, looking at you Flamengo, Palmeiras, and Fluminense.
But I think the fact that PSG has played much tougher competition comes into play in this final.

Get in, get out, get ready for a 45 minute sweat. This is a Cup Final, and Chelsea knows they are outmanned. This should cause them to be incredibly conservative in this match as a whole, but especially early on. The last thing they want to do is let the French net a quick one and gain all the confidence they need to cruise to a victory. We get push potential and plus money, and 2-1 for a scoreless first half is out there for you sickos.
Chelsea’s defense has allowed just two goals in their wins this tournament, but they’ll need to respect the French attack they know is coming. Although the Blues have scored in the first half in 5/6 tourney matches, they’ll be too focused on defense tonight. Even though PSG’s attack is the talk of the town (as it should be), their defense is really phenomenal.
Paris Saint-Germain have allowed just one goal in six matches of this competition. I see them shutting out Chelsea, which causes me to endorse PSG to Win to Nil (+220). However, I like Chelsea’s defense to keep things close, so I’ve sprinkled on PSG ML/Under 3.5 (+163) as well. The French are outscoring their opponents 12-0 in their last four matches, which include wins over Madrid and Bayern.
Those haven’t just been wins, they have been DOMINANT performances from PSG. While I see some of that continuing today, I have faith in Chelsea trending in the right direction, holding a strong back line for 45 minutes, and not letting PSG net more than two goals.
Give me two PSG goals in the second half to seal another trophy for the French side.
