In what some would consider their first true test (me), the German frontrunners hosted Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, winning 3-1 at home against the Blues.

As for the visitors, it has been rough, I won’t lie. Werder Bremen opened up the competition season with a loss to Arminia Bielefeld, who play in the Bundesliga 2, thanks to a stoppage time goal. Bremen were on the road and played the final 40 minutes with just 10 men, and eventually their hosts found a winner.
Then they lost 4-1 to Frankfurt on the road and drew with Bayer Leverkusen 3-3 at home after playing the final 30 minutes with just 10 men but finding two goals to earn a point. After that, they got their first win, shutting out Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0 on the road, but followed it up by getting shutout 3-0 at home by SC Freiburg. Now they face the German Giants, and I think it could get ugly.

Don’t be afraid of the juice, Bayern wins this game. I’m kidding, but I’m not. Please do not place money on Munich ML at -1125, but there’s no doubt in my mind that they win this match. They are far and above Werder Bremen on all parts of the pitch, and it will certainly come into play in this contest.
However, as comes with soccer betting and these large favorites, we are going to have to get creative. Werder Bremen have virtually nothing to lose, as no one expects them to compete in this contest. Yet they did upset Munich 1-0 at Allianz Arena in January of 2024. Could we see some of that same magic tonight on the pitch?

I’m not sure if this totally qualifies as one of those “reverse correlation” parlays all the kids are talking about these days, but it’s honestly the best I could do with these lines and this matchup. Now, you can also book Bayern Munich ML/Under 4.5 for about +125, but your only safety net would be a 1-0 Munich win, and I see the offense scoring at least two.
However, I’m not sure it will get out of hand. This is a match in which Bayern Munich knows they are the better team. At home, they should do everything in their power to handle business, but I could see them taking their foot off the gas, especially in the second half with a potential 2-0 lead. While the hosts don’t have the toughest UCL matchup this week facing Pafos, they still have to turn around and play on Tuesday and will have to travel Cyprus to do so. Again, not the scariest matchup, but it is worth saving some legs just to make sure you don’t slip up in the Champions League, which is the trophy Bayern certainly have their sights set on.
They’ve won the Bundesliga before, and have done so 11 straight seasons from 2012-2023. This team has dominated this league for years now, and I believe they keep that up in a respectable manner against a much inferior foe.
