Arsenal vs. Manchester City English Premier League Betting Odds

Erling Haaland has five goals in four matches this season
Arsenal is No. 3 on the EPL table currently, with three wins and a loss. That one loss came on the road against Liverpool, losing 1-0 at Anfield on an 83′ minute free kick that even the best goalkeepers wouldn’t have stopped. Otherwise, they have handled business as that is the only goal they have conceded in four other matches. The Gunners have shut out Manchester United on the road, and left Leeds United and Nottingham Forest scoreless when they came to town. Plus they are coming off a road shutout victory over Athletic Bilbao in the UEFA Champions League, and also shut them out in the Emirates Cup to open the season.
Add all that up, and the Gunners are outscoring their foes 14-1 in six competitive matches this year, allowing the sole goal on the road to the defending EPL Champions via a spot kick with less than 10 minutes to go. This back line is rock freaking solid.
But now they face Manchester City, who is out to prove to everyone that they are back after ending their four year title streak last year. They won two and lost two in the EPL this year, while coming off a 2-0 home shutout over Napoli in the UCL. Pep Guardiola and his team have a quick turnaround to get ready to face a very tough opponent on the road.

These are two EPL contenders, who will also compete for the UCL title. No doubt, they are two of the most talented rosters across all of Europe, and especially in England. But Arsenal really are that good at home.
Plus, both teams played this week in the Champions League. Arsenal had to travel to Spain, while Manchester City got to stay at home. However, the Gunners defeated Bilbao on Tuesday, while Manchester City beat Napoli on Thursday. Arsenal likely flew home immediately, and thus got an extra 36 hours (or more) of rest to prepare for this contest. Will that come into play?
Arsenal vs. Manchester City English Premier League Picks

Viktor Gyokeres has three goals in three shots on target for the Gunners
Best Bet: Arsenal ML (-112) BetOnline
I will be backing the hosts. They’ve won the last two against Manchester City at home, and are incredible at the Emirates. They lost just two matches at home last EPL season, dropping spots to West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth, perhaps overlooking their opponent or resting players. That will not be the case against Manchester City.
This is a chance to instill tons of confidence into a club looking to win the league for the first time in two decades. They already dropped one to their toughest competitor, so winning this match would let the players (and fans) know that they can bring the fire this season and maybe upset the team from Anfield overall.
The Gunners have no doubt had this match circled, and they are dealing with plenty of injuries. But William Saliba was at least on the bench in their UCL contest, and there is hope that he is good to go in this match. Regardless, Arsenal’s back line has been rock solid, their offensive issues have been fixed thanks to players stepping up and the addition of Viktor Gyökeres, and I still want Manchester City to prove to me they can compete with the best. They lost to Tottenham at home and I don’t consider a Manchester Derby win that good.
Arsenal will come out looking to make a statement, and I could see them getting a shutout victory. Key word… could. Regardless I’ll bet on them to win this match.
Prediction: Arsenal Wins 2-0 (+800)
