2025 WSOP Ends with Record-Breaking Summer in Las Vegas

The 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has officially concluded, marking a historic summer filled with unprecedented milestones in Las Vegas.

This year’s WSOP featured 99 gold bracelet events and shattered multiple records. Organizers confirmed a total of 246,960 entries, a new all-time high. The total prize pool was $481.7 million, further cementing WSOP’s status as the world’s premier poker festival. A record 37,311 payouts were awarded in total, with 43 players each winning at least $1 million during the 2025 series.

Moreover, the 2025 WSOP series featured several record-setting tournaments. Event No. 53, the $1,500 Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold’em, drew 11,996 entries – the highest ever at that buy-in level. Event No. 89, the $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship, attracted a record 3,797 players in its category. 

Meanwhile, Event No. 86, the Mystery Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha, brought in 5,284 entries, setting a new record for the largest live PLO tournament field.

Amazing Runs and Performances during the 2025 WSOP 

The Main Event, the crown jewel of the series, drew 9,735  players, landing it as the third-most attended event in WSOP history. Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi won this year’s Main Event Final Table, claiming $10 million, and the event’s biggest single payouts. He was also inducted to the Poker Hall of Fame after his amazing run.

Another standout was mixed-game specialist Benny Glaser, who added two more bracelets to his collection. He now owns eight total and continues climbing the all-time leaderboard.

Shiina Okamoto made history at the 2025 WSOP by securing back-to-back bracelet wins, showcasing elite skill and composure under pressure. Her victories in two mid-stakes No-Limit Hold’em events highlighted her consistency and rising star status. 

Meanwhile, Leo Margets delivered a standout performance in the 2025 WSOP Main Event, finishing seventh in a record-setting field. Her deep run earned her $1.5 million and marked the best finish by a woman in over 3 decades. 

Both Okamoto and Margets proved that women continue to make major strides in the game, inspiring fans and players around the world with their incredible achievements.

Caesars Entertainment reported record-breaking attendance across all WSOP venues at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. The expanded schedule, improved registration system, and new player amenities contributed to the massive turnout.

Industry analysts noted that the success of WSOP 2025 could boost traffic on the best online poker sites worldwide. Many online poker operators hosted satellite events that fed into the live tournaments.

Looking Forward

The global poker ecosystem now looks toward upcoming international WSOP Circuit events. Momentum from this summer is expected to carry into online platforms and regional series.

With soaring numbers, standout champions, and growing diversity, the 2025 WSOP has set a new bar. The poker world now turns its eyes to 2026, with expectations higher than ever.
