Things are all tied up in this series as we head to Game 3 down in Texas, as the Dallas Stars host the Winnipeg Jets for the first time this postseason. The Stars were able to steal Game 1 on the road before the Jets bounced back and evened things up before they headed south.
We saw all five goals in Game 1 come in the second period, where the Stars eventually beat the Jets 3-2. However, Winnipeg turned it on and rallied for Game 2. The Jets outshot the Stars 25-21 and Connor Hellebuyck made all 21 saves as they won in shutout fashion, 4-0.
They did what they needed to after losing Game 1, but now they face the Stars on the road twice before returning back to Winnipeg. The Jets finally took advantage of a power play against Dallas, and that may have instilled some much needed confidence in this team going forward. They have not won on the road in the postseason, will it start tonight?

Although the Jets have had a sorry effort on the road so far this playoffs, they shutout Dallas 4-0 last time they played them in Texas. Despite being a defensive minded team, the Jets have outshot the Stars in both matchups this series. If they can continue to keep the offense firing, I see them being able to steal at least one of these games in Dallas.
This postseason, the Jets only have one win where they scored less than four goals. The defense and goaltending is usually there, it’s just the offense that has question marks. Even on the road, I think Winnipeg is worth the stab tonight, as I see their momentum carrying them further in this competition.

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!!
Look, eventually this team is going to have to win on the road in the NHL Playoffs. This afternoon is the perfect place to begin. I will continue to bet on teams who have good goaltending, pepper the net often, and also aren’t afraid of putting their body on the line to save the day.
Winnipeg is shooting more than Dallas, blocking more shots, and spending less time in the penalty box. When you do all of that, good things happen, and I think the Jets keep the momentum going for another game. To be completely honest with you, I will more than likely take the Stars in Game 4 (depending on the number), especially if we cash tonight with the Jets. This is going to be a back and forth series and I could see us heading back to Winnipeg all tied up at two games a piece. However, tonight I think the Jets keep their winning ways going for at least one more.
They are a short dawg and the line seems to be moving in their direction. That’s enough for me to side with Vegas on this one and back the underdog.
