Goalie Justus Annunen is expected in net tonight. He’s 12-7-0 this season with a 2.52 GAA and a .892 save percentage. Annunen was in net last week and allowed those 4 goals. Hopefully he makes some adjustments for tonight.

Things have been a little tough for the Sabres in the Atlantic Division. Buffalo is 22-26-5 on the season and are in last place in the division. They are currently on a 4-game winning streak and are 6-4-0 in their last 10 games.

Buffalo struggles on the on road with a 9-14-2 record but are buzzing. Their offense has found the back of the net decently this season, averaging over 3 goals scored per game. They don’t put up that many shots per game, but their shooting percent is pretty good.

Part of this team’s problem is their lack of defense. They rank in the bottom of the league, allowing almost 3.5 goals per game. Buffalo allows almost 30 shots per game and commit almost 5 penalties per game. All of these things are contributing to their problems.

In net, we’re expected to see Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen tonight. He’s 18-15-4 with a 2.97 GAA and a .897 save percentage. Luukkonen will look to replicate his performance from last week tonight. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

Great spot for Buffalo to keep rolling. The Preds were just embarrassed last night, but I don’t think they bounce back tonight due to the Sabres hot streak. We should see a lot of goals (wink, wink), which will make for a fun one.

Tage Thompson was in the morning skate after missing a game. It looks like he’ll be returning tonight, which is always a great start by getting your best player back. I expect the Sabres to come out a score early and not look back. As long as they can net 1 in the 1st, Luukkonen will settle in from there.

I like for the game to go over as hinted at before. Tage was nowhere to be found last game, and I think that changes this game. I’m going to be taking Tage for his 3+ shots on goal for -144 and also his 4+ shots on goal for +174. Before his blank last game, Tage had 3, 7, and 4 shots in his last 3 games vs Nashville.

The other play I’ll be taking is Tage to record a point at -160. It’s juiced and you can pair it with his 3+ shots on goal for +140. He has recorded a point in his last 8 out of 10 games and in his last 4 vs the Preds.
