NHL Best Bet: LAK/ARZ o6.5 (-105) on Bovada

Clayton Keller and his Coyotes are finding their offense

The Coyotes have surprised many out the gates this season. They have split the season with overs by finding scoring up and down the line up. This should help the odds of this total cashing.

While the Coyotes only rank 24th in goals per game, this is largely due to being shut out by a tough Islanders team and only scoring once on a Rangers team who have allowed the third least amount of goals this season.

Arizona is finding success on the power play, with the 7th best unit in the league, a place they hope to capitalize on. A large factor in why this is one of the NHL best bets for the night.

On the other side of the ice we have the Kings, who are leading the entire league in goals for per game played (4.5 g/gp). Better yet the Coyotes are allowing the 2nd most power play opportunities per game which should give the Kings ample time to work their magic.

The over feels much safer than any side, as the Coyotes play much better in their new home the Mullett Arena. Last season 21 of the Coyotes 28 wins came at home, where they averaged 3 goals per game. For another NHL best bets you can looks to sprinkle the Arizona money line at +115 on Bovada.

Pierre-Luc Dubois point (-135) on Bovada

Pierre-Luc Dubios, the Kings big offseason move has already made an impact

Pierre-Luc Dubios has fit on the Kings roster like a stinky glove. He has three goals and four points in seven games. He plays on the 2nd line with point per game forward Kevin Fiala and on the top power play unit.

The Coyotes have been much better this season, only allowing an average of 2.5 goals against per game. However, they showed cracks against the Kings who were able to capitalize and score six times several nights ago.

Where I think PLD can get on the score sheet is through the power play. The Coyotes rank 5th worse on the penality kill and the top unit of Kopitar, Fiala, PLD, Kempe and Doughty could be too much for them to handle.

Getting this point prop at this price feels like great value and is a big reason why it is one of the NHL best bets of the night. His goal is also +170 on Bovada and worth a sprinkle.

Barrett Hayton o2.5 SOG (+105) on Bovada

Arizona’s top center Barrett Hayton

Barrett Hayton centers the Coyotes top line with Keller and Schmaltz and the top power play unit. Yet, he is still pointless and goalless. Well you gotta shoot to score.

Hayton is averaging 5.2 shot attempts per game. He has hit his shots on goal line in 4 of 6 games this season and is averaging 6 attempts in those games. He should be motivated to get that monkey off his back and at home is a great opportunity to do so.

The Kings are tough on SOG, ranking 25th in shots allowed per game. But that didn’t stop Hayton from getting 4 SOG when they faced off several nights ago. Getting a motivated player at plus money who also has great history against his opponent feels like one of the NHL best bets of the night. Hayton’s goal is +250 on Bovada which also holds good amount of value.
