We go to Game 4 between the Winnipeg Jets and the Dallas Stars. Dallas currently leads this series 2 -1 after big 5-2 win Sunday night. This game is absolutely giant for both teams, so let’s recap last game and get into the Jets vs Stars picks.

Dallas wasted no time and got on the board within the 1st two and half minutes of the game. Roope Hintz scored a power play goal to get things kicked off. Halfway through the period Kyle Connor tied the game up, but Thomas Harley got Dallas the lead back before the period ended.

In the 2nd period, the Jets tied the game up halfway through the period. We went into the 3rd period tied up and that’s where the Stars took over. Goals by Alexander Petrovic, Mikko Rantanen and Wyatt Johnston sealed this game for the Stars.

Goalie Jake Oettinger played a solid game. He allowed 2 goals on 26 shot attempts for a .923 save percentage. Good goaltending will take you far as the Jets are learning. Expect Oetty to be dialed in again tonight on home ice.

It’s going to be a tough task to catch this Stars team. They have seemed to find their groove and that’s dangerous for the Jets. They absolutely need to win this game in Dallas because they will have to go back there to advance, so showing they can win one is huge.

This team’s offense has not been consistent. They have scored only 2 goals in too many games for the way their goaltender is playing. When they won Game 2, they were able to put 4 up and Hellebuyck backed them with a shutout. The Jets need another performance like this tonight.

Connor Hellebuyck needs to step up in my opinion. The guy had over 40 wins and is a Hart Trophy Finalist but has been extremely leaky all playoffs. He even let up a 7-goal game to the Blues, as well as multiple 5 goal games these playoffs.

Unfortunately for Winnipeg, they’re outmatched here. I didn’t see them going deep into the playoffs the second we got to see playoff Connor Hellebuyck. He is nowhere near the guy we’ve seen all season, and the league knows it.

Give me the Stars at home to take a 3-1 series lead. Even though it’s a little juiced, we’ll pay it. If you want, you can take them to win in regulation for +105. Some great value there considering how they handled business in Game 3.

This Stars team is really looking complete and the addition of Rantanen has been ridiculously paying off. I’ll be taking him to score a goal for +140 after he’s scored last game at home. Mikko has 4 goals in this series that included a Game 1 hatty.

I also like Kyle Connor to fire the puck. His 3 shots on goal is -160 and his 4 shots is +125. He needs to rip the puck for this team, so you can expect him to keep ripping like her has. He had 9 attempts last game and 8 in Game 1.
