The Toronto Maple Leafs got a big Game 6 win at home to force this series to 7 games. They head back to the TD Garden to face the rival Boston Bruins. Toronto was able to steal 1 game in Boston this series, so it can be done.

History doesn’t bode well for the Leafs though. This will be the 4th time these 2 teams go to 7 games and the Bruins have won the previous 3. They will also play in Boston for the Game 7 for the 3rd out of the 4 times.

Injuries have been an unforeseen problem for the Leafs. Right Winger William Nylander missed the first 3 games of the series due to an undisclosed injury. Now, star center Auston Matthews has been out for the last 2 games with an undisclosed illness. He is questionable for tonight’s game.

Goaltending has been tough for the Leafs as well. Ilya Samsonov started the series but was pulled for Joseph Woll after losing 3 straight. Woll is expected in net tonight.

Can Boston make it 4 straight Game 7 wins vs the Leafs?

Boston is very familiar with this spot and being at home is even better. They played very flat in Game 6 and allowed the Leafs defense to keep them in check.

Leafs goalie Joseph Woll was able to hold the Bruins to only 1 goal on 23 shots. The Bruins were also held to only 1 shot in the 1st period. They will need to do the same this game to contain Boston.

The core of the Bruins should come out tonight. Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak need to lead this team tonight and get them fired up. A goal by one of the two would be huge for them (wink wink for a nugget).

Goalie Jeremy Swayman has been fantastic these playoffs even though coming off a loss. Expect him to be on the top of his game and he will be looking to carry this team to the 2nd round.

Sorry Leafs fan, get the tissues ready. Or maybe not because you’re used to this?! Coming into the game, it doesn’t look good for Toronto.

Already having to play away, they will need William Nylander to take over the game again with no Auston Matthews. He is going to have a much harder time in TD Gardens though.

I expect the Bruins to win the physical battle and also get on the board first. I feel like they take a lead and never look back. This should be a close game, don’t get me wrong, but I think the goaltending for Boston is the X factor.

The Leafs were able to get to Swayman once now, but it was really 1 player who got to him. This whole team needs to come to play and they’re just in a broken state.

We’re going to pay the juice man here and take the Bruins moneyline. Nugget – David Pastrnak to score a goal at +120. He is finding the back of the net tonight in route to the 2nd round.
