We head to the world’s most famous arena for tonight’s game. The Anaheim Ducks continue their road trip of the Metro Division tonight vs. the New York Rangers. This is the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
Anaheim is 19-12-1 this season and second in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a two-game losing streak after a loss to the Devils on Saturday night. The Ducks are 5-5-0 in their last ten games and 8-8-1 on the road.
This team has come out and surprised everyone. They rank second in the league for goals scored and third for shots on goal per game. The young talent on this team has been shining in Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier and Beckett Sennecke.
Their defense hasn’t been very good though. They rank in the bottom of the league for goals allowed and shots on goal allowed per game. On both the power play and penalty kill, the Ducks rank in the bottom of the league as well.
Goaltender Lukas Dostal is expected to start. He is 11-6-1 this season with a 2.83 GAA and a .902 save percentage. Dostal has been solid this season, and he looks to continue vs. a weak Rangers offense.

Rangers try to make it two in a row at home tonight vs. the Ducks

New York Rangers forward JT Miller raises his stick in the air after his team scored a goal.
The Rangers are 16-13-4 this year and seventh in the Metro Division. They come into this game off an overtime win over the Canadiens on Saturday. New York is 6-2-2 in their last ten games and are 4-8-3 at home this season.
It’s been a rough go for the Rangers on offense. They rank in the bottom of the league for both goals scored and shots on goal per game. Their shooting percentage is horrible, and their penalty kill is mid.
Their defense is just ok to be honest. They rank seventh in goals allowed and nineteenth in shots on goal allowed per game. New York’s penalty kill is just as mid as their power play is too.
In net, we’re expected to see Igor Shesterkin. He is 13-10-3 this year with a 2.53 GAA and a .909 save percentage. Let’s check out the odds and get into the Ducks vs. Rangers picks.

You’re giving me one of the best in the west at plus chicken?!? Yes please! I can’t go against them when they’re playing a team struggling. This is a great bounce back spot for the Ducks after losing two in a row.
The offense on this Anaheim team is hard to manage. They should come firing out the gate vs. the Rangers and their defense could struggle. The Ducks will need to keep their foot on the gas so they can get the best of Shesterkin.
I like for Shesterkin to get over his saves line. The Rangers allow so many shots on goal, and this offense is fierce. The line should drop around 27-28 saves and the Ducks will fire at least 30 or more.
Another play I’ll be on is Beckett Sennecke to record 3 or more shots on goal. He’s hit the line is four out of his last five games. The rookie has really settled in and going to be a dangerous threat for this Ducks team.
