I like this for a bounce back spot for the Islanders at home. In the history of my fandom, they tend to stink in day games, but they’re a little different this year. They just came off that loss but was in OT after making a comeback.
The loss of Kyle Palmieri is going to sting. I feel the team coming out a little fired up after that injury he took. There is also that saying in gambling that says, “buy the bad news” and I’m going to do just that.
Both teams were scoreless on the power play last game, going a combine 0-9. I see this continuing and things like this make me lean to the under in this game. Both goalies are familiar with each other as well, so I think we see the game under control.
Give me Alex Ovechkin to score a goal for +145. He tends to be very good against the Isles and has three points in his last three games, one being a goal. His last game he just fired six shots on goal and he’s going to pepper Sorokin, so give me the gino.
