This team is currently the center of some drama. Center Elias Pettersson and winger JT Miller have been the topic of trade talks. It seems to be weighing on the team a bit, but they’re winning, which is what matters most.

Vancouver’s offense is the best, ranking 21st in goals scored and 31st in shots on goal per game. They don’t shoot much but they make it count when they do with a 11.2% shooting percentage, which ranks 5th in the league.

On defense, they could use some work between the pipes. The Canucks are allowing over 3 goals per game, which ranks 23rd in the league. They do protect the line well, only allowing the 9th least shots per game, but the goalies aren’t doing their jobs.

I’m backing the home team here. I really like the way they’ve been playing lately. Not too many games ago, the Preds played the Sharks twice and put up over 10 goals combined.

Nashville isn’t a bad team at home with a 12-8-3 record. This isn’t a bad bounce back spot after losing to the Ducks. Although they’ve won their last 2 games, there is trouble in paradise in Vancouver and it’s only a matter of time before it spills out onto the ice.

Filip Forsberg has been playing like a man possessed. He has 9 goals and 7 assists over his last 8 games. These numbers are absolutely insane. I love for him to keep it going, getting his 4+ shots on goal. Forsberg has record it in 4 out of his last 5 games with 6, 6, 8, and 7 being the numbers when he hit.

This is a wild play and out of pocket for me, but we’re going to take Juuse Saros UNDER saves. I know unders are the worst, but the Canucks don’t shoot the puck a lot. If the sportsbooks give us 25 or more shots – we’ll be playing the under. I expect the Canucks to get 20-22 shots on goal.
