Back to back 2-1 days for the last two NHL best bets articles which puts us at 10-11 on the season. Now a month into the season we have more data than before to really target mispriced NHL best bets and play props. November is usually a time when teams defensive systems begin to click (or falter) and the top stars of the league find their groove. We’ll look for some of the best value plays and weave our way through this gigantic slate to find some of the best NHL player props of the day.
We will be breaking down NHL best bets here at Betting News all playoffs long! 1. Brendan Gallagher Point +150 on BetOnline:

Brendan Gallagher dominated the Flyers making his point a nice bet
Gallagher has quietly mashed Philly in recent meetings. Over his last five games vs the Flyers, he’s put up 4 goals and 3 assists (7 points) with a +4 rating. But this type of BTA goes back much further. In his 32 career games against the Flyers he has 15 goals and 26 points. Tonight the Flyers will come to Montreal, where a rested Canadiens team is waiting.
Yes, the top line for the Canadiens have been all that and a bag of chips. But tonight feels like a zag night, especially as the Flyers have allowed the 4th least goals against. For this game, Gallagher is projected to skate on Montreal’s 2nd line with Kirby Dach and Zach Bolduc. Bolduc started the season hot with 4 points in his first 3 games, but has since cooled off. This could be a nice spot for this line to spark the offense.
This isn’t a “bad defense” target like in years past — the Flyers are actually one of the better defensive teams early on. But Montreal is driving results – at 9-3-0, they’re winning tight, structured games and getting scoring spread through the lineup, not just from the top line. Gallagher already showed last season he can contribute secondary offense on a competitive Canadiens squad. Game script favors depth production – with the Flyers rolling multiple balanced lines and a good PK, Montreal will likely need 5-on-5 contributions from all three scoring lines, not just the Suzuki unit. Gallagher’s line with Dach is exactly the type that can feast on third-pair matchups or second-choice forward units over the course of 60 minutes. Add it all up and it’s clear why Gallagher’s point an NHL best bet tonight.
2. Matthew Boldy o3.5 SOG +140 on BetOnline:

Boldy knows how to fling puck
Sometimes you gotta jump on a wagon right when it starts rolling. And looking at Matt Boldy’s recent shots on goal chart, you will realize Boldy may begin to really roll! While he has only hit in one of his last 5 games (last game) and only 5 times this season, tonight’s matchup against the Nashville Predators is the perfect spot to string together some big SOG games.
Boldy has evolved into one of Minnesota’s primary shot generators: he’s averaging 3.6 shots on goal per game this season (13 GP, 47 SOG), already above the 3.5 line. Over the course of this NHL season, Boldy is averaging 8.8 shot attempts. This shows the volume is there, but the luck is not. He’s also playing heavy minutes for a winger, over 21 minutes per game this year, which keeps his shooting floor high even if special-teams time or game script gets weird. All of these factors point to a SOGGY wagon that’s about to start rolling, making it an NHL best bet at plus money.
The Predators aren’t a complete pushover, but they do allow volume: Nashville is giving up just under 30 shots against per game (29.6) this season. This is good for 10th most in the league. Team-wise, they’re struggling more with overall results than raw shot suppression, sitting at 2.46 goals for and 3.31 goals against per game, with a bottom-tier power play that can tilt five-on-five time in Minnesota’s favor if they’re chasing the game. The cherry on top here is Boldy has dominated the Predators in the past.
In Boldy’s last 9 games against the Predators he has hit his 3.5 SOG prop in 7 games and averages 7 shot attempts per game. In fact, 4 of those hits Boldy had 5+ SOG, making him a decent ladder candidate. The recent chart is bad, but the you wont want to miss the wagon once it starts rolling.

3. Evan Bouchard o2.5 SOG +110 on BetOnline:

Evan Bouchard is a road puck ripper
This is a bargain bin price for one of the top shooting road dawgs in the league. The perception is Bouchard will be tired after playing last night in St. Louis (and losing mind you) and that Dallas has a strong defense. But we’ll take those incorrect notions and run with it to plus money town. Bouchard has hit his 2.5 SOG prop in all but one road game this season and is averaging 6.5 shot attempts when on the road. Yeah, this is an NHL best bet for sure.
Bouchard is a key piece of the Edmonton Oilers’ blue line and is trusted to take shots from the point and in traffic. His role gives him the opportunity to generate SOG rather than purely block or defend. The upcoming matchup vs Dallas provides a favorable game environment: if Edmonton pushes offence, Bouchard will naturally get more chances from the blue line. He has logged 38 shots in his last 14 games, which is roughly 2.7 shots per game — this suggests he’s maintaining or slightly improving his volume.
Dallas is currently allowing the 14th most shots against in the league, which is good for middle of the pack. However, they are allowing the 6th most shots to defensemen in the league. Bouchard has not had back to back issues either, turning this perceiving downside into a big upside. He hit in 6 of his last 8 back to back games averaging 6 shot attempts.
