Samoskevich’s volume has spiked—he’s logged 17 shots in his last four games, and he sits around 2.6 shots per game for Florida this season, right behind the club’s top trigger men. That recent clip alone paces comfortably over tonight’s 2.5 line. And now with Brad Marchand out of the lineup Samoskevich’s role should increase.
Multiple lineup trackers have him entrenched in Florida’s top-six and the top power-play unit (PP1), which adds two-minute pockets of shot equity every time Anaheim heads to the box. The Ducks are allowing ~30.6 shots against per game this season, and they’ve been whistle-prone (~3.1 penalties per game)—a recipe that feeds Florida’s shooters and gives Samoskevich extra attempts on the man advantage. This is a fantastic matchup for shots from both teams.
With recent volume (17 in 4), PP2 exposure against a team that both concedes shots and takes penalties, and a matchup Florida typically controls, Mackie Samoskevich over 2.5 shots on goal profiles as a +EV play for Oct 28, 2025. If your book hangs anything at standard juice (−115 to −125) or better, it’s worth a wager. It’s clear to see why this is an NHL best bet.
2. Nino Niederreiter Point +150 on BetOnline:
Nino Niederreiter loves playing against his former teams
Niederreiter enters tonight with steady early-season production (6 points through nine games) and recent multi-point nights on his ledger, including a goal and power-play assist in the Jets’ 4–1 win over Nashville last week. He’s projected to skate on Winnipeg’s third line with Morgan Barron and Gustav Nyquist and work the second power-play unit—enough usage to generate chances even if he doesn’t live on the top line.
But what really makes Niederreiter’s point look like an NHL best bet is the revenge factor. Just like he did against his former team the Nashville Predators, Niederrieter will set his eyes on enacting revenge against another former team tonight, the Minnesota Wild. Through his last 7 games against the Wild Nino has a point in 6 of them with 8 points in total in those games. The Wild are currently allowing the third most goals against in the league, which just takes this play up a notch.
It’s Frozen Frenzy night, and multiple outlets expect Winnipeg to drive play against a shaky Wild defense; if the Jets get to their usual offensive baseline, secondary scorers like Niederreiter typically ride along.Minnesota’s penalty kill has struggled badly to start the season—around 61% over their last 10 games and ~70% this month—while Winnipeg’s power play is humming at ~28% after also leading the NHL last year (28.9%). Niederreiter’s PP2 exposure raises his assist/garbage-goal equity if the Jets draw a few minors.

3. Arrturi Lehkonen Point -120 on BetOnline:

Two of the top teams in the NHL will face each other as the Colorado Avalanche will host the New Jersey Devils. And top line winger Arrturi Lehkonen will look to help the Avalanche defeat the NHL’s top team, and in doing so will hit 300 career points. Lehkonen is projected to skate on Colorado’s top forward line alongside Nathan MacKinnon and Martin Nečas for this matchup. That means higher quality ice time, more offensive zone usage and more opportunity to record a point. Meanwhile the Devils, while improving, have had defensive hiccups and have allowed solid offensive possessions to good teams — this gives Lehkonen a favorable game environment.
Against the Devils in his career, Lehkonen has recorded 5 goals and 6 assists over 19 games. While that isn’t astronomical, it shows he has production in this matchup, and with his current uptick in form the baseline is higher.
