1. Adam Fox Assist +100 on BetOnline:
Top defenseman of the New York Rangers Adam Fox
Well that was embarrassing. The New York Rangers were shutout at their home opener against a Penguins team who should be near the bottom of the league. Tonight they head to Buffalo for redemption. And you have to think this offense will want to get on the scoreboard early and often.
Adam Fox is the Rangers’ puck-distributor in chief, quarterbacking PP1 with Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, Vincent Trocheck and J.T. Miller. That premier role guarantees him touch after touch in the most dangerous minutes — exactly what you want on an assist prop. The matchup helps. Buffalo’s penalty kill finished 23rd last season (76.3%), a soft spot that New York’s first unit can exploit — and Fox’s assists are highly correlated to PP success.
Fox logged top-pair minutes and led NYR in TOI while anchoring the first unit, and he’s historically produced against Buffalo (three-point game, including two assists, in their Dec. 12, 2024 meeting). If tonight turns special-teams heavy, Fox’s pass-first profile gets even more valuable. Add this all up and it’s easy to see why Adam Fox assist is an NHL Best Bet tonight.
2. Anaheim Ducks Money Line +110 on BetOnline:
Anaheim Ducks are one of the best looking underdogs tonight
Recency bias is a hell of a thing in the sportsbetting world. For what feels like nearly a decade the Anaheim Ducks have been bottom feeders in the league, amassing a prospect pipeline that is near the top of the league. Now more of their top picks are breaking into the league and are becoming primed for a breakout, while the team continues to add veterans with leadership skills like Jacob Trouba and Chris Kreider to round out their squad. But the sportsbooks still think this is the Ducks of the past, making their money line an NHL best bet tonight.
Lukas Dostal is expected to open as Anaheim’s No. 1 after a five-year summer extension; he was a 23-game winner last season and finished strong down the stretch. Seattle is likely turning to Joey Daccord tonight—solid, but not invulnerable—making this closer to even than the line suggests. Seattle allowed the 9th most goals against int he league last season, and the Ducks depth both at offensive-minded defensemen and forward could be too much for him to handle.
Seattle is without Kaapo Kakko (broken hand, ~6 weeks). Their blue line and top-six have also juggled statuses (Ryker Evans out; others listed day-to-day this week), which can dent early-season chemistry. On the other side, the Ducks enter with real scoring pop from their kids—Mason McTavish (fresh six-year deal), Leo Carlsson, and Cutter Gauthier headline a group that produced multiple 20-goal scorers last year and projects another step forward.
Time to quack tonight.

3. Dylan Larkin + Lucus Raymond Point +100 on BetOnline:
Dylan Larkin will be a motivated man tonight against the Canadiens
The Canadiens are on the second night of a back-to-back after a 5–2 loss in Toronto last night, a setup that often means fatigue and a likely turn to a non-starter in net. That tilt also showed defensive leaks late, which bodes well for Detroit’s top scorers tonight. This is especially true for the Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin who has dominated the Canadiens in the past.
Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond skate together at the top of Detroit’s forward group and work prime offensive minutes, including PP1 under Alex Tanguay—the same unit that finished 4th in the NHL (~27% PP%) last season. Point props correlate strongly with that role, and Detroit kept that power-play braintrust intact for 2025-26.
Montreal’s penalty kill sat around 81% last season—roughly league middle—so Detroit’s high-end PP can generate the one touch either player needs. Combine that with Larkin/Raymond’s established chemistry at evens, and the path to at least one point each is clear. Larkin has a point in 9 of his last 14 games against the Canadiens with 11 points in those games. At plus money it’s easy to see why this is an NHL best bet.
