Don’t worry, we will have individual game pieces with bets for each specific matchup, but here are some of the markets being offered for the series as a whole.

Number of Games in Series

  • 4 Games (+600)
  • 5 Games (+275)
  • 6 Games (+190)
  • 7 Games (+190)

We haven’t seen a sweep in the Stanley Cup Finals since 1998, so 6-1 for that to happen from either sideline is egregious in my eyes. Seven of the last 10 Stanley Cup Finals have seen at least six games, and I would bet that continues this year.

For me personally as a hockey fan, for nearly 2-1, I’d sprinkle on seven games and hope for as much puck as possible.

Highest Goals Scored By One Team in Any Game

  • Over 6.5 Goals (-115)
  • Under 6.5 Goals (-125)

This one is a little interesting to me. Last year, the over would have cashed thanks to the Oilers’ eight goal performance to save their butts in Game 4. However, other than that, things were relatively low scoring. Edmonton finished with five goals twice, but the Ice Cats never scored more than four in a single game. With Sergei Bobrovsky between the posts and Stuart Skinner playing fairly well, I would certainly pay the juiceman and lean under on this series prop.

The Panthers have not scored or allowed seven goals in one game yet this postseason, while Edmonton netted seven in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Kings at home.

How Many Power Play Goals Will There Be in Series?

  • Over 7.5 PP Goals (-120)
  • Under 7.5 PP Goals (-120)

Anyone want to guess how many we had last year? Only four. In a seven game series, with 4/7 contests going over a 5.5 total, we only had four combined power play goals (three of which came from the Oilers). Edmonton went 3/24 while the Panthers were 1/21, so it wasn’t from lack of opportunity.

This postseason Florida has scored just 13 power play goals on 56 opportunities, killing off 88% of their penalties as well. The Oilers have scored just 12 goals on 40 power play chances. They’ve only killed 66% of their penalties, but as a guy that leans in the direction of “defense wins championships,” I would think this series sees less than eight PP goals.

How Many Shorthanded Goals Will There Be?

  • Over 0.5 Shorthanded Goals (+225)
  • Under 0.5 Shorthanded Goals (-350)

Honestly, no data to back this up, but betting this over is going in my card. What a sweat this could be, and who knows, maybe it cashes after Game 1!

Florida ranked 2nd in the NHL in shorthanded goals during the regular season with 12, while Edmonton was tied for 18th with five. Neither have scored one during the postseason, but Florida is averaging 16 penalty minutes per contest, meaning we could get plenty of opportunities.

Stanley Cup Finals Series Player Prop Bets

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl lead the Oilers against the Panthers

Edmonton forwards Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are looking for revenge in the Stanley Cup Finals

Ah yes, the good ole player props. Let’s just start with the classic over/under odds for points from some studs.

Player Point Totals

Connor McDavid

  • Over 9.5 Points (+115)
  • Under 9.5 Points (-145)

Aleksander Barkov

  • Over 6.5 Points (+150)
  • Under 6.5 Points (-180)

Brad Marchand

  • Over 4.5 Points (+135)
  • Under 4.5 Points (-165)
Back Bouchard to clear his points total in the Stanley Cup Finals

Evan Bouchard has 17 points this postseason for the Oilers

Evan Bouchard

  • Over 5.5 Points (+110)
  • Under 5.5 Points (-140)

This prop has made its way onto my card. Bouchard is a point machine. He has 17 points in 16 games this playoffs, including six goals and 11 assists. He has a +/- of 9, has just four minutes in the penalty box, and is on the top power play line with McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane, and Hyman. Give me Bouchard to have six easy points this Stanley Cup Finals for plus money.

He had one point in two games against the Panthers this season, with seven total shots on goal. Last Stanley Cup Finals, Bouchard had just five points which were all assists. I think he steps up this year into a bigger offensive role for Edmonton.

Matthew Tkachuk

  • Over 6.5 Points (+140)
  • Under 6.5 Points (-170)

Leon Draisaitl

  • Over 7.5 Points (-130)
  • Under 7.5 Points (+100)

Sam Bennett

  • Over 4.5 Points (-120)
  • Under 4.5 Points (-110)
Will Florida take win back to back Stanley Cups?

Matthew Tkachuk and the Panthers head to Edmonton for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals

Most Points in Series

  • Connor McDavid +130
  • Leon Draisaitl +275
  • Aleksander Barkov +900
  • Matthew Tkachuk +1100
  • Sam Reinhart +1600
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins +1600
  • Evan Bouchard +1800
  • Sam Bennett 20-1
  • Carter Verhaeghe 25-1
  • Brad Marchand 33-1
  • Corey Perry 66-1
  • Aaron Ekblad 75-1

This category certainly feels like it’s McDavid’s and Draisaitl’s to lose. Most of the Edmonton offense circles through those two, while the Panthers have many more options to choose from. I see no value on the top two favorites, but not sure where I would sprinkle otherwise. Sam Bennett or Carter Verhaeghe could be sneak options if you like the Panthers to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions.

Leading Goal Scorer in Series

  • Leon Draisaitl +275
  • Connor McDavid +500
  • Sam Reinhart +750
  • Matthew Tkachuk +800
  • Aleksander Barkov +1000
  • Sam Bennett +1200
  • Carter Verhaeghe +1200
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins +1600
  • Brad Marchand +1600
  • Corey Perry 20-1
  • Evander Kane 28-1
  • Anton Lundell 33-1

Most Penalty Minutes in Series

Another fun one to sweat out! With repeat participants, there is certainly plenty of bad blood between these teams.

  • Brad Marchand +200
  • Niko Mikkola +400
  • Matthew Tkachuk +500
  • Sam Bennett +600
  • Aaron Ekblad +700
  • Eetu Luostarinen +1000
  • Vasily Podkolzin +1200
  • Corey Perry +1200
  • Jonah Gadjovich +1400
  • Evander Kane +1800

I can’t decide if I want to back Tkachuk or Bennett in this spot, so I’ll probably end up splitting a unit and sprinkling on both. Sure, they probably brought Big Bad Brad Marchand to be the enforcer in this series, but I could see either Tkachuk or Bennett starting (or ending) some personal beef with anyone on the opposite bench.

This seems like a bet every degenerate needs to at least sprinkle on.
