The Carolina Hurricanes face elimination tonight in Sunrise as they face the Florida Panthers for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Panthers swept the Hurricanes in the ECF in 2023 before losing to the Vegas Golden Knights, and now they have a chance to do so again.
A win tonight would solidify a third straight Stanley Cup Finals appearance for the Ice Cats, and being at home, they look unstoppable. The Panthers have won three straight against Carolina, four straight in the postseason, and are 4-2 at home in the playoffs. They’ve netted a total of 16 goals in just three games against the Canes in this Eastern Conference Finals, allowing just four total from their opponent.
Carolina is on the road and has their backs against the wall. Is there anyway they can rally for a much needed win tonight? They’ll need one to keep their season alive and take things back to Raleigh for Game 5. However, I’m not sure we will get there.

I’ve been saying it since after Game 1, but this series is over. The Hurricanes are lifeless, they are playing scared, and the Panthers are built for playoff hockey. They’ve been here before, they’ve already knocked off this exact team recently in this spot, and they are hungry to try and repeat as Stanley Cup Champions.
The Hurricanes haven’t competed in any of these contests. While I do see them putting up slightly more of a fight today, this the Panthers game to lose, and I will be backing the hosts to punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals tonight.

We took the PL in Game 3 and we’re going right back to it in Game 4. I also endorse in regulation at (-105) and even their TT over 3.5 (+121). The Ice Cats roll to an easy win tonight in my eyes.
They are playing fast, physical, and look much more comfortable than their opponent. Sergei Bobrovsky has stopped nearly 95% of shots faced this series, and the Panthers just look that much better on both sides of the ice. They are peppering the net plenty, containing the chances of the Canes, and ultimately making life easier for their goalie.
If Carolina can extend this series I will gladly tip my cap to them, but if they had any fight left in them, it should’ve hit the ice sooner than Game 4. The Panthers finish the job tonight at home unless they decide to be gentlemen and let the Canes have one. By the looks of guys like Matthew Tkachuk, Brad Marchand and Sam Bennett, I see Florida making Carolina’s life hell on Earth one more time tonight before advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Give me the Ice Cats in every way possible.
