Analysis & Breakdown

Clash on the Emerald Isle
The NFL’s headed to across the pond once again, this time to Dublin, Ireland. This week’s Steelers/Vikings matchup will be the first NFL game held in Ireland and the NFL’s 56th game held outside of the United States. The Vikings and Steelers are set to face off for the second time, internationally; their previous meeting coming in 2013 with Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Cassell under center for the two teams. Minnesota walked away with the 34-27 win, with Adrian Peterson recording 140 yards on the ground and Cassell throwing for two touchdowns.
Back in 2013 the Steelers made the decision to travel on Thursday for their Sunday morning game. The team was sluggish and it was clear the travel had taken it’s toll. This year the Steelers are hoping for a different result. Now with Aaron Rodgers under center, a 2-1 record and the division within reach; the Steelers are making no excuses and won’t make that mistake again.
Both the Steelers and Vikings will arrive in Ireland at the same time, per NFL regulations. The Steelers did however want to travel earlier in the week, something that was quickly shut down by the league offices. The biggest issue with these international games, is not only the travel but the drastic time change. Both teams will be looking at 9-10 hours of travel, in addition to a 5-6 hour timezone shift.
Old Faces, New Places
Two veterans of the league, two Super Bowl champions and two familiar faces in two new places. Both Carson Wentz and Aaron Rodgers will start this week in Dublin, Wentz being the bigger surprise this early in the season. Afte J.J. McCarthy suffered an injury late in Week 2, Wentz stepped in last week and helped lead the Vikings to a dominant 48-10 win. Wentz threw the ball just 20 times, completing 70% of his passes and threw two touchdowns. The Vikings are now 2-1 and looking to build on that here in Dublin.
For the Steelers, it’s one of the greatest quarterbacks to every throw the ball. Rodgers has helped the Steelers to a 2-1 record in 2025, throwing for just 586 yards but seven touchdowns. His three interceptions are uncharacteristic for the four-time MVP, but with a new team there’s always bound to be growing pains.
Both quarterbacks have been blessed with elite WR1’s and should look to involve them heavily in this contest. Jefferson lead the team in targets in Week 3, with D.K. Metcalf currently leading the Steelers in target share.
Sunday’s Best Bets
Jordan Addisson o42.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

This Vikings offense is full of weapons and this week they’ll be getting one of their most explosive weapons back on the field. Jordan Addison’s suspension has been served and he returns to the field this week, ready and eager to play in his first game of the season.
Addison was drafted 23rd overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, recording nearly 3,300 total yards and 30 touchdowns in his three years of College. Through his first two years in the NFL, Addison’s played in 32 of a potential 34 regular season games, recorded 1,786 receiving yards (55.8 YPG) and scored 20 touchdowns. Those 20 touchdowns would tie him for 5th among all pass catchers in the NFL, over that two-year span; more than Justin Jefferson and Terry McLaurin.
Last week we saw the Vikings absolutely destroy the Bengals, Wentz only threw the ball 20 times and backups were on the field before the game finished. Despite that, Jalen Nailor saw five targets and he’s been the guy filling in for Addison through three weeks. Now with Addison back, look for that target share to come immediately and don’t be surprised when Wentz find him deep in Steelers territory.
Addison’s been a huge part of this Vikings offense for two seasons and was a full participant during training camp. This year also represent’s a huge year for the young wide receiver, it being his second last year on his rookie deal. That means an extension is on the horizon for the speedy wideout and this is the year he gets to prove his worth.
