Analysis & Breakdown

Purple Flock
The Ravens have won three straight games, two with Lamar Jackson back under center. The team’s now 4-5 on the year, but somehow still well within range of winning the division. The Ravens have scored 85 points over the last three weeks and we’ve finally seen their offense somewhat come alive.
Lamar Jackson’s thrown for 5 touchdowns and no interceptions since returning to play, he’s averaging 208.2 yards per game on the season with 15 total touchdown passes and one interception. Jackson’s got a passer rating of 127.1 this year and now looks to help his team secure another win and get that much closer to winning the division.
Defensively the Ravens have been bad. They rank 25th in points allowed, 19th in opponent redzone efficiency, 27th in opponent passing yards and 25th in opponent yards per play. They’ve performed well in back to back weeks against two pretty bad QBs and this week it doesn’t get any harder.
Brown Puddin’
Dillon Gabriel will get his 5th start of the season and the kid has not looked good so far. He’s 1-4 as a starter, completing just 58% of his passes and has thrown six touchdowns to just two interceptions. Gabriel’s done a good job of taking care of the ball but that’s about it. The Browns offense ranks 29th in points, 29th in third down conversion rate and 27th in first downs.
The offense is 29th in pass yards per game and it’s been more of the same with their 26th ranked run game. Cleveland’s 4.0 yards per play ranks 31st in the NFL and their lack of big play ability really highlights their issues on that side of the ball.
Defensively, they’ve been great but have been showing signs of regression over the last couple weeks. The Browns rank 17th in points allowed this year but 1st in opponent first downs, 2nd in opponent pass yards per game and 4th in opponent yards per play. Cleveland rank 6th in sacks this year and Myles Garrett’s been in a league of his own.
The former Defensive Player of the Year leads the league with 11 sacks this year and has caused havoc for every single QB he’s faced this year.
Sunday’s Best Bets
Zay Flowers o4.5 Receptions (-110) | BetOnline

Flowers has cleared this line in seven of the team’s nine games this year, averaging 69.4 receiving yards per game. So why’s the line so low? The weather this week in Cleveland’s looking like it could be ugly. Temperatures in the low 40s with winds averaging 24 mph and reaching gusts upwards of 30-35 mph as the game progresses.
Normally, with a running back like Derrick Henry in the backfield we’d turn there; but against this front seven we might need to get a little creative. Flowers is the Raven’s highest targeted receiver this year, recording a 28.7% target share through nine games. Flowers has torched man coverage all year, recording a 27.8% target rate and 72.7% catch rate against man this year.
The Browns are running man coverage at the highest rate in the NFL and a lot of that’s because of how they attack the QB. Flowers sees a ton of his targets come close to or within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, seeing an average depth of target of just 8.5 yards. He does a ton of his damage after the catch and it’s why Flowers ranks 9th in the NFL in yards after the catch.
Flowers is seeing a 29.2% first read target share this year and in their Week 2 matchup with the Browns, we saw that jump to 35.3%. Flowers has 7+ receptions in 2 of his last three games against the Browns and also ranks 8th in yards per route run against man coverage this year. The winds blowing as fast as they are; I’m expecting a ton of volume for Zay to get him out in space.
