Analysis & Breakdown

The Brotherly Shove
After two ugly wins through the first two weeks of the season, the peanut galley is as loud as ever. Complaining about Jalen Hurts being considered an elite quarterback and the Eagles use of the tush push. Plenty has been brought up about the legality of the play, about Philly’s use of an “early jump” when utilizing the the play or even just about where the offensive line is lined up. All I see is an undefeated team that’s doing whatever it takes to win the game.
If the play isn’t legal, it’s time for the league to start calling it; but until that happens, look for Philly to keep pounding the rock. Hurts has recorded just 253 yards through the air this year and has yet to throw a passing touchdown. He’s averaging just 5.6 yards per completion and Philly’s had to rely heavily on their run game. Philly’s averaging 140 rush yards per game through two weeks but just 119 yards through the air. It’s something the Eagles will have to rectify, especially against this Rams front seven.
Reloaded Rams
The Los Angeles Rams’ offense came alive in Week 2. After an ugly first half, the Rams outscored the Titans 23-6 the rest of the way, walking away with a 33-19 win and start the season 2-0 for first time since 2021. What else happened in 2021? The Rams won the Super Bowl.
Now I’m definitely getting ahead of myself here, but the Rams look good. The addition of Davante Adams really came to light in Week 2, with the 12th year receiver recording his first 100-yard game with the Rams and scoring his first touchdown. Puka Nacua hasn’t lost a step and Kyren Williams looks fantastic behind this offensive line in Los Angeles.
This Rams team ranks 1st in points allowed through two weeks, giving up just 28 total points across two weeks of games. Los Angeles has eight sacks so far this year and the tandem of Jared Verse and Byron Young has looked frightening. Philadelphia’s got the best offensive line in football so expect a battle in the trenches this week.
Sunday’s Best Bets
Davante Adams o67.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

This Philadelphia secondary is not as good as it was last year. With the departure of guys like Darius Slay and Isaiah Rodgers, the Eagles lost two of their top three corners from last year. Cooper DeJean, the 2nd year corner out of Iowa is the only one left of last year’s trio and it’s why we’re targeting Davante Adams once again.
Through just two games so far with the Rams, Adams has seen a 32% target share; recording 21 targets, 10 receptions, 157 yards and one touchdown. Of his 21 targets, just 12 of those have been catchable targets and it’s clear that Stafford and Adams are still working on their timing.
In Week 2 we saw Adams have his biggest game yet for the Rams, bringing in six of his 13 targets, for 106 yards and a touchdown. Of those 13 targets, just seven were considered ‘catchable’ and Adams brought in six with just one drop. This week Adams is matched up with a much softer secondary, both Adoree Jackson and Quinyon Mitchell have had their share of issues on the outside; giving up seven catches for 110 yards to CeeDee Lamb in Week 1.
Look for Adams to have a similar type of impact here in Week 3.
Los Angeles Rams +3.5 (-110)

This Rams offense is potent, they rank 7th in overall yards gained despite scoring just 23.5 points per game through the first two weeks. Their Week 1 matchup was against a tough Houston defense. Los Angeles won a defensive battle with Houston, 14-9, a game that saw no points scored in the fourth quarter.
The Rams were still able to generate 296 yards of total offense, 18 first downs and went 2/3 in the redzone. Last week against the Titans, we saw this offense explode for 33 points, 439 total yards, 22 first downs and went 3/6 in the redzone. With the addition of Adams, I love this Los Angeles offense and I think Philly struggles to keep up on Sunday.
